TELESCOPIC REEL
20200029501 · 2020-01-30 ·

A telescopic reel for an agricultural machine includes at least one side module being telescopic relative to a central module for causing the reel to switch from a retracted position to an extended position. A second crosspiece of the side module is adapted to enter into a cavity of a first crosspiece of the central module when the reel is in the retracted position, and is adapted to be extended when the reel is in the extended position. The first crosspiece and the second crosspiece are provided with a crop lifting system. The lifting system includes a connection for connecting lifts to at least one intersection element of the reel so that the lifts can slide along the second crosspiece of the side module. The lifts are brought close to each other when the reel is in the retracted position and the lifts are positioned relative to each other and to the at least one intersection element, at a distance substantially matching that of connection, when the reel is in the extended position.

Combine harvester with grain culm sensor

The combine harvester includes a harvest frame that receives grain culms cut by a reaping device and a rake-in auger disposed within the harvest frame so as to be rotatable about a rotary axis extending in a right/left direction of the harvester body. The rake-in auger conveys the grain culms inside the harvest frame in a right/left direction of the harvester body and rakes in the grain culms toward the rear of the harvester body. The combine harvester further includes a feeder that is communicatively connected to a rear wall of the harvest frame, and that conveys the grain culms raked in by the rake-in auger toward the rear of the harvester body. A grain culm sensor that detects the presence of the grain culms when coming in contact with the grain culms is disposed at a grain culm feed port in the feeder.

HARVESTER REEL HAVING ADJUSTABLE TINE BARS AND METHOD FOR RESETTING SAME

A harvester reel for an agricultural harvester header includes a central rotatable shaft; a plurality of reel tine bars and a cam assembly for guiding rotation of the plurality of reel tine bars. The reel tine bars extend widthwise across the reel and are connected to the central rotatable shaft for rotation therewith. Each of the plurality of reel tine bars include a tine. The cam assembly includes a cam and a diverter adjacent the cam. The diverter is movable between a disengaged position, in which the cam does not guide rotation of the tine bars, and an engaged position, in which the cam does guide rotation of the tine bars. The diverter is biased toward the engaged position.

System and method for cutting table length adaptation

An agricultural harvester is disclosed. The agricultural harvester includes a cutting unit that has a cutting table adjustable in its cutting table length, a reel adjustable to a reel vertical position and reel longitudinal position, an inclined conveyor downstream from the cutting unit, and a driver assistance system. The driver assistance system autonomously determines, using at least one input variable, at least one machine parameter and specifies the machine parameter to the cutting unit. The machine parameter can include one or more of the cutting table length, the reel vertical position, or the reel longitudinal position. In particular, the driver assistance system may determine a harvested material throughput and a vibration coefficient describing the fluctuation in the harvested material throughput in a region lying in front of the threshing system and adapt or modify the cutting table length based on the determined vibration coefficient.
