HARVESTER HEAD REEL WITH EXTENDABLE BAT
A harvester head reel may include a bat support and an extendable bat supported by the bat. The extendable bat may have a first segment and a second segment overlapping the first segment. The harvester head reels may further include a first finger extending from the first segment and a second finger extending from the second segment.
Agricultural Header with Float Control
A harvesting header on a vehicle such as a combine harvester includes a mounting assembly comprising left and right float elements each for applying controlled left and right lift forces and arranged to allow upward floating of each end of the header in response to ground contact. Left and right sensors detect the angle of tilt of the header and a control system operates to reduce the left lift force when the left end is raised and to reduce the right lift force when the right end is raised. On a combine harvester this can be done by rotating the face plate of the feeder house in the required direction. In other systems the force generated by the left and right float elements can be directly modified. The changes to the lift force are applied only when the propulsion vehicle is tilted beyond a predetermined angle.
Device for removing vines from sweet potato and the like
A vine removal device comprises a frame and a pair of spaced-apart vine agitators movably carried by the frame so as to form a vine-feeding maw or throat between the vine agitators. A driven vine-cutter is movably carried by the frame and driven relative to the frame, and is disposed in registration with the maw to receive and cut vines fed into the maw by the vine agitators. One or more drive mechanisms are drivingly coupled to the vine-cutter and the vine agitators to drive the vine-cutter and the vine agitators. The vine agitators capture the vines and feed them into the maw, where the vines are cut into mulch by the vine-cutter. A vine removal implement may comprise a plurality of the vine removal devices arranged in side-by-side relation to traverse along a series of sweet potato rows.

FEEDER DEVICE FOR A DRAPER HEADER
The feeder device located at the centre section of a front of a harvester. The feeder device comprises one or more flights configured for improving operation of the feeder device. The feeder device comprises a shaft including a plurality of flights. They extend substantially along the entire length of the shaft and are arranged in a spaced apart relationship with respect to each other. In this manner, a threaded-like formation defined by the spaced apart arrangement of flights extends substantially along the entire length of the shaft of the feeder device.

Harvester head draper belt tracking
A harvester head may include a frame, a roller configured to support a draper belt and at least one tracking correction arm. The roller has a rotational axis and is pivotably supported by the frame about at least one pivot axis nonparallel to the rotational axis. The at least one tracking correction arm is coupled to the roller and may include a first belt bump stop and a second belt bump stop. The first and second belt bump stops contact portions of the draper belt such that mistracking of the draper belt relative to the roller pivots the roller about the pivot axis until the draper belt is automatically moved back into a tracking relationship with the roller.
PICKUP REEL FOR A CROP HARVESTING HEADER
A crop harvesting header including a pickup reel mounted for rotation about a reel axis is disclosed and includes a plurality of reel bats peripherally disposed on the reel each having a plurality of outwardly extending fingers and being rotatable about a bat axis. A cam track adjacent to and surrounding the reel axis is immobilized w.r.t. the header and includes a cam surface and a guide surface. A linkage associated with each reel bat has first and second spaced apart cam followers that engage the cam surface at respective points of contact. The cam surface causes displacement of the linkage while traversing the cam track during rotation of the reel, the linkage being coupled to cause rotation of the reel bat about the bat axis for changing an angle of attack of the fingers. A guide follower disposed for engagement of the guide surface at a third point of contact between the first and second points of contact has an offset between the guide surface and the cam surface along the cam track selected to cause each of the first and second cam followers to maintain contact with the cam surface and the guide follower to maintain contact with the guide surface while traversing the cam track.

Harvesting header bat with adjustably spaced quick release fingers
A harvesting header bat having a channel for removably receiving alternating quick-release fingers and spacers is provided. The spacers are capable of production in different lengths to support different applications of the harvesting header. The quick-release finger is provided with projections configured for mating with flanges at the channel opening, enabling the finger to be inserted into the channel in a first orientation and then rotated into a second orientation to engage the flanges and releasably lock the finger in place. The spacers are also configured to engage the flanges of the channel and may be provided in different lengths where a particular harvesting header application requires a certain distance between fingers on the bat.
