The invention relates to pads (200), in particular for orthopedic aids, comprising a pad pressure element (100, 101). The invention also relates to the use of the pads according to the invention in orthoses or bandages as well as to orthoses or bandages comprising pads according to the invention.

Systems and methods for orthopedic supports

A garment for providing orthopedic support or therapy to a human body may include a tubular flexible element and a tension strap. The tubular flexible element may be disposed around at least some portion of a human body and include flexible and a touch fastener portions. The flexible portion may be at an exterior of the tubular flexible element and cover a first portion of the body. The touch fastener portion may be at the exterior of the tubular flexible element and cover a second portion of the body. The tension strap may include first and second ends, where the first end includes a first touch fastener to be coupled with the touch fastener portion at a first location, and the second end includes a second touch fastener to be coupled with the touch fastener portion at a second location, thereby applying tension between the first and second locations.

Support brace

Support braces and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. A support brace includes a flexible fabric substrate and an elastomeric member disposed on the surface of the flexible fabric substrate. The elastomeric member is disposed so as to apply pressure non-uniformly about a limb or joint of the wearer, in a pattern selected to divert pain and/or reduce loads on the joint. The flexible fabric substrate can include regions having different levels of elasticity, to provide different levels of compression to different parts of the joint or limb in addition to the compression provided by the elastomeric member. The elastomeric member can be deposited, screen printed, injection molded, or otherwise applied to the fabric substrate, optionally without adhesive.

SUPPORT FOR ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME

A support for an article has a body arranged for length adjustment along a length adjustment axis. A tensioning device is connected to the support and adjustment of the tensioning device shortens or lengthens a length of the support along the length adjustment axis. The body defines at least one opening overlapping at least part of the length adjustment axis such that length adjustment is governed by modification of the size of the at least one opening according to adjustment by the tensioning device.

WEARABLE TUBULAR TEXTILE ARTICLE
20220241101 · 2022-08-04 ·

A wearable textile article has a tubular element having an external side and an internal side, a first and a second reinforcement bands placed along a direction extending from a lower opening to an upper opening of the tubular element. A first and a second fabric portions made of fabric obtained from weaving weft threads and warp threads of polymeric material are fused together along a first and a second fusing areas. The first reinforcement band at least partially overlaps the first fusing area and the second reinforcement band at least partially overlaps the second fusing area. A method for manufacturing the wearable textile article includes fusing together the first and second fabric portions along the first and second fusing areas to obtain the tubular element, and joining the first and second reinforcement bands in a partially overlapping way with respect to the first and second fusing areas on the external or internal side.

Orthosis, use of such orthosis and kit of parts
11382783 · 2022-07-12 · ·

The disclosure relates to an orthosis comprising a tubular sleeve having an inlet opening and an outlet opening or sock. The tubular sleeve is preferably formed of a stretchable, textile-based material such that the tubular sleeve as such is radially collapsible when being in a non-worn condition and is circumferentially stretchable to adapt to a shape of a limb of a user when being worn thereon. The orthosis further comprises a circumferentially expandable reinforcement member arranged at the inlet opening and circumscribing at least approximately 135° of the inlet opening. The reinforcement member is resilient and provides a radially outwardly directed force onto the tubular sleeve and thereby retains the inlet opening in an open shape facilitating insertion of the limb through the inlet opening into the orthosis. Also described are kit of parts and the use of the orthosis.
