JOINT STABILIZATION GARMENTS
20210128338 · 2021-05-06 ·

Technical garments including joint stabilization socks, sleeves, and other garments are disclosed. The exemplary garments disclosed herein include regions with material properties, such as tensile strengths, that are different from other regions of the garment. Particular regions of the exemplary garments include interwoven materials with substantially high tensile strengths for providing resistance/compression to targeted body parts (e.g., ankles, knees, shoulders, etc.) for preventing undesirable movement (e.g., that mimics medically-relevant taping patterns). In particular embodiments, the regions with higher tensile strengths are interwoven or integrated into a base material, such that the garment can be comfortably worn while also providing compression and support to targeted body parts.

HOLD-UP DEVICE FOR SECURING LEG OR KNEE BRACES / IMMOBILIZERS
20210137718 · 2021-05-13 ·

Hold-up devices for securing a leg brace from sliding or rotating on a patient's leg are provided. In various embodiments, a strap system for securing a leg brace includes at least one strap member for securing the hold-up device to a belt or waistband and includes multiple selectable mechanisms for attachment to a leg brace. In an example use scenario, a hold-up device has an adjustable strap, straps or strap-like member attachable to a belt, waistband or belt-like member around the patient's waist. The example hold-up device is connectable in various ways to the leg brace to prevent the brace from sliding down the patient's leg, from rotating on the patient's leg, or from both sliding and rotating on the patient's leg.

Orthopedic device and method for securing the same

An orthopedic device has various frame elements concealed by a sleeve defining pockets into which such frame elements are located. The orthopedic device includes a strap tightening assembly adapted to secure a plurality of straps simultaneously. The frame may include flexible edge features located along a periphery thereof.

Device for protecting the plantar padding, in particular during a sporting activity

A device protecting the plantar padding of a foot that includes a cushion including a viscoelastic material that is configured to be held against the skin of the plantar region and to cover all of the metatarsal heads and the metatarsophalangeal joints of the foot, and an elastic band attached to the cushion along two opposing transverse edges and by a tab configured to pass between the big toe and the adjacent toe of the foot. The band has a width configured to entirely cover side bulges formed by the metatarsophalangeal joints of the small and big toes. A portion of the band configured for contacting the top of the foot includes tacky elements on both sides thereof, which prevent the protective device from sliding on the skin when the device is placed on the foot and inside a sock surrounding the foot.

Knee supporter and garment

A knee supporter, including a tubular supporter main body including: a knee anterior surface part; a knee posterior surface part; a femoral side anterior surface part; a femoral side posterior surface part; a tibial side anterior surface part; and a tibial side posterior surface part, wherein elastic moduli, in an axial direction of the tubular supporter main body, when stretched by 80% in the axial direction of the tubular supporter main body, satisfy the following Formula (1) to (3): Formula (1): 0.7knee posterior surface part/knee anterior surface part; Formula (2): 1<femoral side anterior surface part/femoral side posterior surface part; and Formula (3): 1<tibial side anterior surface part/tibial side posterior surface part.

Global osteoarthritis knee brace

A global osteoarthritis knee brace or orthopedic support includes a flexible, elastic sleeve having a tubular shape with a patella opening at an anterior surface with slits on either side of the opening. The brace includes a first pair of rigid longitudinal stiffeners pivoted therebetween at a hinge that is disposed at the lateral or medial side of the sleeve. The brace further includes an adjustable patella support having elongated strips at the ends thereof, wherein the patella support is positioned in the interior of the sleeve proximate with the patella opening, where the elongated strips pass from the interior of the sleeve through the slits to the exterior of the sleeve, and extend upward to be anchored to the sleeve. The wearer pulling on the elongated strips adjusts the patella support to lift the patella.
