A split-type external device for fixation of cervical and thoracic vertebrae, the device including: a first part adapted to cover a neck and a chest of a patient, a second part adapted to cover a head of the patient, and a third part adapted to cover an abdomen and waist of the patient. The first part includes a first left part and a first right part. The first left part and the first right part are symmetrically disposed along a front middle seam and a back middle seam which are corresponding to axial lines on the front and back of the patient; the first left part includes a left neck part, a left upper chest part, a left front part, a left back part, and a left upper back part which are integrated with one another to yield a first left cavity adapted to accommodating filler slurry.

Heel protector and corresponding rehabilitation systems and methods for using the same

A device (100) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102) intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section define a leg insertion aperture (104). A compressible cushion layer (402) is disposed at least in the leg engaging section. At least one bolster tube (401) is disposed interior the leg engaging section. The bolster tube (401) can be selectively removable through one or more apertures (1105,1106).

Fabric-Based Soft Actuators

A fabric-based soft actuator includes a first fabric layer, a second (material) layer, a bladder, and a fluid pump. The first fabric layer has anisotropic or isotropic stretch properties. The second layer is a fabric layer with anisotropic or isotropic stretch properties and/or a strain-limiting layer. The bladder is disposed between or integrated with the first fabric layer and the second layer, while the fluid pump is in fluid communication with and configured to inflate the bladder.

Brace having an inflation control

Systems, methods, and devices are described for providing a brace having an inflation control. The control directs fluid flow from an inflation component to one or more inflatable cells of the brace. The inflatable cells are independently inflated and deflated by the inflation component through the control. The control allows a user to create a fluid path between the inflation component and one of the inflatable cells by positioning the control in an orientation corresponding to the desired inflatable cells. Each inflatable cell is independently inflated and deflated in various orientations of the control.

Neck supporter

Provided is a neck supporter which is easy to use and which can reliably support the head of the wearer. The neck supporter includes an elongated main body providing said air-bag; an air injection valve that is provided in said main body to enable the air to be injected into said air-bag or discharged therefrom; connection sections (e.g., loops and hooks) that are provided on opposite surfaces in a vicinity of opposite ends of said main body to connect said opposite surfaces to each other; and a plurality of retaining portions (e.g., thermal compression bonding portions and through-holes) that are provided dispersedly as dots in series in a longitudinal direction of said main body to provide bonded portions between a front surface and a back surface of said main body.

HUMAN RESTRAINT DEVICE
20180353316 · 2018-12-13 ·

A human restraint device enables effective restraint by pressing a person's arms against the person's torso. The device includes a band dimensioned to fit over an upper torso and shoulders of a person; an inflatable tube attached to the band, wherein the tube expands during inflation inwards and away from the band, whereby the tube presses against the torso of the person; a net comprising a mouth attached around a circumference of the band; and a gas release mechanism to rapidly inflate the inflatable tube. Net preferably includes a spit-proof material.

Inflation control valve

Systems, methods, and devices are described for providing a fluid control for an inflation system.

VACUUM-MOLDED AND REUSABLE LIMB PROTECTING PAD
