Method and device for manufacturing absorber
A manufacturing device is provided, within a range in the rotation direction of the upper half of an anvil roll, in the order from the upstream side in the rotation direction of the anvil roll, with a first sheet feeding unit, a recess forming unit, a particulate material feeding device, and a second sheet feeding unit and further a welding unit provided on the downstream side of the second sheet feeding unit in the rotation direction. The anvil roll has a large number of concaves, projections provided in a portion among the concaves, so as to surround each of the concaves, and a unit to suck air in the concaves. For each concave, the projections are minute dot-shaped projections arranged only in one row at intervals in the direction surrounding the concave.
ELASTIC COMPOSITE SHEET MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE
An elastic resin material having a thermoplastic elastic resin as a main component is heated and melted, and the elastic resin material is discharged in a film or a linear shape from a discharge mechanism to form a film-shape or a linear-shape intermediate product. At a temperature above the temperature region at which the elastic resin material elastically deforms, extending is performed until the thickness or width of the film-shape intermediate product or the thickness of the linear-shape intermediate product assumes a prescribed value; with a cooling roller, the intermediate product is cooled to the temperature region at which the elastic resin material elastically deforms, and the intermediate product is hardened, forming a film-shape or linear-shape elastic member. The elastic member is stretched with a stretch roller to a prescribed stretching ratio, and the stretched elastic member is laminated on and bonded to a first base material sheet.
Absorbent Article With Low Profile Closure
An absorbent article includes an absorbent chassis and a fastening system that together define a refastenable pant. The refastenable pant includes a pair side panels comprising a front side panel and aback side panel. The front side panel and back side panel forming a leg opening when fastened together. The refastenable pant comprising a fastening system that includes bridging components that refastenably connect the front side and back side panels in the manner of a butt-joint thus producing a side panel with a low profile seam appearance.
Disposable diaper
A disposable diaper has front and rear waist regions, a crotch region, and an absorbent chassis. The absorbent chassis includes an absorbent structure and a pair of side flaps. Each of the side flaps has layered sheet materials and includes a distal edge, a cuff branch line between the side edge of the absorbent structure and the distal edge, a leg-opening elasticized area between the cuff branch line and the distal edge, and a leakage-barrier cuff branched from the cuff branch line and intersecting with the leg-opening elasticized area. The leakage-barrier cuff has a free edge parallelly-spaced from the cuff branch line. The distance from the cuff branch line to the distal edge is larger than from the cuff branch line to the free edge. The number of sheet material layers included in the leg-opening elasticized area is larger than in the leakage-barrier cuff.
UNDERPANTS-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
A waist portion W has a first portion P1 and a second portion P2 each including a waist elastic member. The first portion P1 includes an over sheet layer folded back at an edge of a waist opening WO extending to an inside of a waist inner sheet layer. The over sheet layer is formed of a sheet material having a portion folded back at an edge of the waist opening WO from a position outside the waist elastic member in the second portion P2 and extending to a position inside the waist elastic member in the second portion P2. In the first portion P1, the waist elastic member is not fixed to the sheet material. In the second portion P2, the waist elastic member is fixed to the sheet material, and the sheet material is contracted in a width direction WD together with the waist elastic member.
Absorbent article and method of manufacturing same
An absorbent article comprises a layered structure with an absorbent material sandwiched between at least two layers of the structure, and at least one elongate tab. Each elongate tab comprises an attached portion by which the tab is attached to a first layer of the layered structure and a fastening portion provided for releasably engaging a landing zone on the absorbent article. Each tab is made of a predetermined material which is deformable by an energy source. The attached portion comprises a plurality of surface protrusions integrally formed of said material, each of said surface protrusions comprising a base portion and a head portion above the base portion. The attached portion is attached to said layer by deformed head portions of at least some of said surface protrusions. In a method for manufacturing such article, the attachment involves deforming head portions of the surface protrusions.
ABSORBENT CORE, ARTICLES COMPRISING SAID CORE, AND METHODS OF MAKING
An absorbent core comprising: a front portion; a back portion; a middle portion position between the front portion and the back portion; and a longitudinal axis extending along a length of said core and crossing said front, middle and back portions, the absorbent core having a width extending perpendicular to said length and a perimeter comprising at least two opposing ends and at least two opposing sides positioned between said ends, said core comprising an absorbent material sandwiched between upper and lower layers of said core wherein the absorbent core comprises at least one interconnected channel substantially free of absorbent material and with at least portions thereof extending along both the length and the width of said core arranged to form an open end proximal to the front portion and a closed end proximal to the back portion and wherein said channel is formed by mechanically bonding said upper layer directly to said lower layer at a plurality of distinct bonding sites, wherein each channel portion comprises no more than two consecutive bonding sites taken along a channel width axis.
TAPE-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
A tape-type disposable diaper wherein lower edges of wing parts of a ventral part have a first part on a base edge side and a second part on a tip end side, which are wavy portions having inward recessed valleys. In the wavy portion of the first part, the obtuse side intersection angle .sub.1 between a tangent contacting both of adjacent valleys and a front-back direction is 160 to 175 degrees. In the wavy portion of the second part, an obtuse side intersection angle .sub.2 between a tangent contacting both of the adjacent valleys and the front-back direction is 120 to 150 degrees. The first part in the front-back direction is 0.15 to 0.30 times the dimension of the crotch portion in the front-back direction, and the second part in the front-back direction is 0.10 to 0.25 times the dimension of the crotch portion in the front-back direction.
Device and method for feeding particulate materials and device and method for manufacturing absorber
A particulate material feeding device has a particulate material storage tank for storing particulate materials, a delivery device for continuously delivering the particulate materials stored in the particulate material storage tank, a chute which drops and transfers the particulate materials delivered from the delivery device to drop and feed the particulate materials to a feeding position, a blocking body which intermittently enters a blocking position for blocking at least a part of the particulate passage in a cross-sectional direction in the chute, from a non-blocking position, and a recovery path branched from the chute so as to discharge the particulate materials blocked by the blocking body to the outside of the chute.
ABSORBENT BODY, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE
