Absorbent article and method for manufacturing same
In order to prevent degradation of appearance, prevent a decrease in flexibility, and improve non-elasticity in a non-stretchable region in an elastic film stretchable structure, the invention is characterized by having an elastic film stretchable structure (20X) formed by stacking an elastic film (30) between a first sheet layer (20A) and a second sheet layer (20B), wherein a region having the elastic film stretchable structure (20X) includes a non-stretchable region (70) and a stretchable region (80) provided at least at one side of the non-stretchable region (70) in a stretching and contracting direction, the stretchable region (80) being stretchable in the stretching and contracting direction, the first sheet layer (20A) and the second sheet layer (20B) are joined via through holes (31) penetrating the elastic film (30) at the large number of sheet bond portions (40) arranged at intervals, and the non-stretchable region (70) does not have a section in which the elastic film (30) linearly continues along the stretching and contracting direction, due to presence of the through holes (31), even though the elastic film (30) continues in the stretching and contracting direction.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent core sandwiched between a liquid permeable topsheet and a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an acquisition distribution system positioned between said topsheet and said absorbent core, wherein the absorbent core comprises absorbent material selected from the group consisting of cellulose fibers, superabsorbent polymers and combinations thereof, wherein said absorbent material is contained within at least one core wrap substrate enclosing said absorbent material, and wherein a top layer of said core wrap is adhered to a bottom layer of said core wrap to form one or more channels substantially free of said absorbent material, wherein said channels have a length extending along a longitudinal axis and the absorbent core has a length extending along said longitudinal axis and wherein the length of said channels is from 10% to 95% of the length of said absorbent core and wherein said channels each follow a substantially continuous path such as from a first end of a channel to a second end of the same channel wherein the acquisition distribution system is multi-layered and comprises at least one spunbond layer and at least one meltblown layer, and wherein said acquisition distribution system is positioned between said absorbent core and said topsheet such that said spunbond and/or meltblown layers are in direct contact with said absorbent core and said topsheet.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article includes: a first sheet-like member; a second sheet-like member; an elastic member that is inserted along a lateral direction between a pair of mutually-opposing facing surfaces of the first sheet-like member; joining portions that join the pair of mutually-opposing facing surfaces and that are spaced apart in the lateral direction; and side-seal sections that are disposed at each lateral end portion of the absorbent article. The joining portions are disposed on two sides of the elastic member in a vertical direction, which intersects the lateral direction and a front-rear direction, so that the elastic member is sandwiched and pressed between the joining portions.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article having a lateral direction, a vertical direction, and a front-rear direction that are orthogonal to each other is provided. The absorbent article includes: a first sheet-like member; a second sheet-like member; elastic members that are inserted along the lateral direction between a pair of mutually-opposing facing surfaces of the first sheet-like member and that are spaced apart in the vertical direction; joining portions that join the pair of mutually-opposing facing surfaces and that are spaced part in the lateral direction and in the vertical direction; and side-seal sections disposed at each lateral end portion of the absorbent article. The joining portions are formed on two sides of the elastic members in the vertical direction so that the elastic members are sandwiched and pressed between the joining portions on the two sides.
Apparatus for the transverse welding of a moving tape
An apparatus for the transverse welding of a tape traveling in a machine direction, comprising: a stationary structure, a rotary structure rotatable with respect to the stationary structure about a rotation axis perpendicular to said machine direction, a plurality of welding units carried by said rotary structure and spaced apart in a circumferential direction, wherein each of said welding units comprises an inner welding element fixed relative to the rotary structure and an outer welding element cyclically movable with respect to the rotary structure between a release position and an operative position, and vice versa, wherein each of said outer welding elements during the movement from said release position to said operative position, and vice versa, performs an angular rotation movement about a respective radial axis perpendicular to said rotation axis, and a linear translation movement along said radial axis.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article includes the absorbent main body, side flaps, leakage barriers, and an elastic member which is joined in between the side flaps, and is stretchable and shrinkable in the width direction. Each of the leakage barriers includes a standing portion in which the outer side in the width direction is fixed, and the inner side in the width direction is free, and a supporting portion adjacent to one end portion in the longitudinal direction of the standing portion and overlaps the elastic member in the thickness direction. The supporting portion includes an inner side portion which is positioned on the inner side in the width direction and is not fixed to the absorbent main body, and an outer side portion which is positioned on the outer side in the width direction and is fixed to the absorbent main body by the heat welding portion.
Wearable disposable absorbent article
A wearable disposable absorbent article includes a front panel, a back panel, and a crotch panel bridging and at least partially overlapping the front and back panels. A backsheet of the crotch panel has a laminate structure including a liquid barrier sheet and a nonwoven layer arranged on top of each other. The liquid barrier sheet extends over the entire length of the crotch panel and further over at least a portion of each of the front and back panels. The nonwoven layer extends at least over the entire length of the crotch panel but not over a length of more than 40 mm over each of the front and back panels. The width of the nonwoven layer is smaller than the width of the liquid barrier sheet.
Method for manufacturing an absorbent article
An absorbent article comprising a top-surface sheet, a second sheet, and an absorber interposed between the top-surface sheet and the second sheet. The absorbent article allows a body fluid absorbed by the top-surface sheet to move to a non-skin side without deteriorating a soft touch feeling of cotton. The top-surface sheet 3 has a multi-layer structure including a non-heat fusible layer 10 made of a cellulose fiber and arranged on a skin side and a heat-fusible layer 11 made of a heat-fusible fiber and arranged on the non-skin side. The second sheet 6 made of a heat-fusible fiber is arranged on the non-skin side of the top-surface sheet 3. A large number of compressed parts 15 are formed on the non-skin side of the second sheet 6 by integrally recessing the second sheet 6 and the top-surface sheet 3 toward the skin side.
