A feminine care absorbent article comprising an absorbent member positioned between a topsheet and a baffle is provided. The absorbent member contains at least one layer that comprises superabsorbent particles containing nanopores having an average cross-sectional dimension of from about 10 to about 500 nanometers.

ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING WETNESS INDICATORS

A nonwoven web for an absorbent article is provided. The absorbent article comprises the nonwoven web as a core wrap. A method for producing the absorbent article is also provided. The nonwoven web comprises a first nonwoven layer comprising filament fibers, a second nonwoven layer comprising filaments fibers, a third nonwoven layer comprising staple fibers disposed between the first and second nonwoven layers. A total basis weight of the first and second nonwoven layers is not less than about 10 gsm. The third nonwoven layer has a basis weight no greater than about 4 gsm. The nonwoven web comprises pores, wherein greater than about 80% of the pores have a pore size equal to or smaller than about 40 m, and wherein less than about 10% of the pores have a pore size equal to or greater than about 45 m.

FLUID-ABSORBENT ARTICLE

Provided herein are fluid-absorbent articles, fluid absorbent cores, and fluid-absorbent mixtures with improved properties, especially rewet performance and liquid acquisition. The fluid-absorbent article includes (A) an upper liquid-pervious sheet, (B) a lower liquid-impervious sheet, (C) a fluid-absorbent core including from 60 to 20% by weight fibrous material and from 40 to 80% by weight of at least a first type of water-absorbent polymer particles, (G) and at least a second type of water-absorbent polymer particles (H) based on the sum of water-absorbent polymer particles and fibrous material, (D) an optional acquisition-distribution layer (D) between (A) and (C), (F) other optional components, wherein the first type of water absorbent polymer particles (G) of the fluid-absorbent core (C) have a SFC of at least 2010.sup.7 cm.sup.3.Math.s/g, and wherein the at least second type of water-absorbent polymer particles (H) of the fluid-absorbent core have a sphericity of at least 0.80.

ABSORBENT PRODUCT COMPRISING FOAM MATERIAL

An absorbent product includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core enclosed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes an absorbent fibrous layer and a liquid inlet foam layer and the absorbent core includes a transversally central liquid inlet region extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent core. Within the liquid inlet region, the liquid inlet foam layer is covered by a plurality of inlet openings and has a transversal width, which is equal to, or up to 9 mm smaller than, the minimum transversal width of the absorbent fibrous layer. The liquid inlet foam layer also has side edge regions arranged in front and rear portions of the absorbent core transversally outside of the liquid inlet region, and within which the liquid inlet foam layer is free from liquid inlet openings.

C. and relative humidity of 80% for a time period of 20 minutes.

An elastic sheet for an absorbent article includes a first fibrous layer disposed on a first surface of the elastic sheet, a second fibrous layer disposed on a second surface of the elastic sheet opposite to the first surface, and contractible elastic members secured between the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer. The first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer each include continuous fibers of thermoplastic and gathers formed between adjacent ones of the elastic members. The gathers are disposed in an intersecting direction intersecting with a direction in which the elastic members extend. An average flexural rigidity value of the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer in accordance with a KES method is 0.003510.sup.4 to 0.02210.sup.4 (N.Math.m.sup.2/m). A thickness under a compression load to the gathers in accordance with the KES method is 0.22 to 1.5 mm.
