The base lamp assembly includes a station housing having a light cavity capable of receiving multiple fingernails therewithin, and a main light source supported within the light cavity for drying nail polishes on the fingernails at the same time within the light cavity. The handheld nail care tool includes a detachable lamp pen detachably coupled at the station housing, wherein the detachable lamp pen includes an elongated pen body and a point light source provided at a light end of the pen body for drying the nail polish on one single particular fingernail.

In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, of capturing an image of the finger in response to receiving a request to paint the area of interest on the finger and using the image of the finger to ascertain an area of interest of the fingernail to be painted. One embodiment includes, in response to determining that the user is satisfied with the area of interest that has been determined, initiating the painting of the area of interest and/or depicting, in real time, the painting of the area of interest to the user.

An apparatus, kit, and method for applying a decal to a nail of a human digit are provided. A base coat of base nail polish is applied to a nail. The base coat has a tacky surface when dry. A decal application product is pressed against the tacky surface of the base coat, and includes a substrate and at least one decal adhered thereto. The at least one decal and the substrate have a first adhesion coefficient therebetween. The at least one decal and the tacky surface have a second adhesion coefficient that is greater than the first adhesion coefficient to cause a subset of the at least one decal to adhere to the base coat. A top coat of a top nail polish is applied atop of the base coat and the subset of the at least one decal to seal the subset of the at least one decal and the base coat.
