An array of absorbent articles each having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core is described. A first absorbent article has a first physical feature disposed between the topsheet and the absorbent core, and a second absorbent article has a second physical feature disposed between the topsheet and the absorbent core. The first physical feature has a first length between 27 and 77 percent of a first absorbent core length. The second physical feature has a second length between 27 and 77 percent of a second absorbent core length. The first length is less than the second length, and the first physical feature comprises a convex portion oriented toward a first end of the first absorbent article and/or the second physical feature comprises a convex portion oriented toward a first end of the second absorbent article.

The current invention in some embodiments thereof relates to a sanitary pad which has a flat configuration for easy storage and transport and folds to form a 3D shape including a bulge for dividing between skin in a sensitive area. In some embodiments, in the bulge may be perpendicular to a flat portion of the pad. Optionally, the fin may have a triangular shape. For example, a menstrual pad may include an anterior flat area configured to lie against the vagina and/or absorb menstrual fluids and a posterior bulge configured to fit into an intergluteal cleft. For example, the bulge may have the form of a triangular fin. Optionally, the pad is reformed from the flat configuration to its 3D configuration by folding a posterior portion of the pad.

(Object) To prevent leakage of body fluids and to readily transmit pressure from both sides to a center portion in a width direction by bringing an absorbent article into close contact with a crotch area extending from a body fluid discharge portion to a start position of the intergluteal cleft. (Means of Achieving the Object) A pair of right and left compressed grooves (8, 8) that extend in an approximately longitudinal direction is formed on a surface of a liquid permeable top sheet (3). The compressed grooves (8) have separation distance reduced regions (11), in which a separation distance between the right and left compressed grooves is reduced, formed at the back of a region corresponding to a body fluid discharge portion (H) of a wearer, and also have vastly enlarged portions (10), in which widths of the compressed grooves (8) are enlarged, formed at positions within the separation distance reduced regions (11) and where the separation distance between the right and left compressed grooves (8, 8) becomes minimum.

The present invention prevents an absorbent body from twisting and splitting while maintaining the capability of fitting onto the buttocks of a wearer even when the absorbent body has a low fabric weight. The absorbent body (4) has a large number of compressed parts (20, 20, . . . ) formed in a region other than a region that extends in a widthwise center section along the longitudinal direction and includes portions corresponding to a body fluid excretion part (H) and the intergluteal cleft of the wearer. A region including a portion corresponding to the intergluteal cleft is an easily deformable region (21) without compressed parts (20). The easily deformable region (21) extends to an intermediate position in the longitudinal direction and does not reach the rear end of the absorbent body (4). The region extending behind the easily deformable region (21) to the rear end of the absorbent body (4) has compressed parts (20) formed thereon.

To reliably prevent rear leakage. A sanitary napkin includes a plurality of widthwise compressed grooves which are disposed in a region to the rear of a region corresponding to a bodily fluid discharge part H of a wearer, extend in a substantially widthwise direction of the sanitary napkin, are formed in a shape bulging toward the rear, and are arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin; and a right and left pair of longitudinally compressed grooves which extend along substantially the longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin and are each arranged on the outside in the width direction at a predetermined separating distance from the widthwise compressed grooves. The widthwise compressed grooves are formed such that the groove widths and lengths thereof become gradually larger as the widthwise compressed grooves are arranged relatively closer to the rear of the sanitary napkin.

An absorbent article (10) is disclosed. The absorbent article (10) can have a topsheet layer (30), a liquid impermeable layer (36), and an absorbent assembly (40) positioned between the topsheet layer (30) and the liquid impermeable layer (36). The absorbent assembly (40) can have a body conforming layer (38) which has a plurality of slits (50) and at least one crease (60) extending in the longitudinal direction (X). The presence of the plurality of slits (50) and the crease (60) in the body conforming layer (38) can provide for a reduction in the stiffness of the absorbent assembly (40). The absorbent article (10) can deform under pressure and have an improvement in conformity to the body of the wearer of the absorbent article (10).

A feminine incontinence apparatus for providing a comfortable and discrete feminine pad includes an absorptive pad comprising a base layer having a base top side, a base bottom side, a base front edge, a base back edge, a base left edge, and a base right edge. A first absorptive layer is coupled to the base top side. The base layer and the first absorptive layer have a gluteal crease extending from the base back edge along a medial axis towards the base front edge. The gluteal crease is configured to fold within a user's intergluteal cleft. The base bottom side is configured to be placed within an undergarment such that the base front edge rests adjacent a user's pubic region and the base back edge rests within the intergluteal cleft.

The sanitary napkin has a semisolid structure affixed along the center base of it. The semisolid structure is an elongated form of matter that goes along the base of the sanitary napkin. Surrounding the affixed center base semisolid structure is material that is not semisolid or solid, but soft and consistent with the rest of the sanitary napkin.

An absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a liquid impermeable layer, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet layer and the liquid impermeable layer. The absorbent article can further include an exudate management layer in fluid communication with the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned on a body facing surface of the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned between the topsheet layer and the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a first component which defines an opening for direct passage of body exudates into the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a second component which at least partially overlaps the first component of the exudate management layer and further extends in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article in a direction towards the posterior region of the absorbent article.

An adsorbent pad including an elongated core positioned substantially in the center of the pad, wherein the core protrudes out of the top surface of the pad. The adsorbent pad helps to direct the flow of fluids such as urine and blood to the elongated core, so that the wearer of the pad experiences less leakage of fluids to help with leaks better coverage throughout the use of the pad.
