An absorbent performance garment is disclosed comprising a pant and a gusset at least partially sewn to an interior surface of the pant. The gusset is comprised of a first layer, an absorbent second layer, and a waterproof third layer. The second layer is positioned between the first layer and the waterproof third layer. The gusset is affixed to the pant such that the gusset can absorb fluids without weighing down the crotch region of the pant.

An undergarment facilitating the process to transition from disposable protective undergarments and diapers to underwear or toilet/potty-training in individuals where a subject is able to access and use facilities independently and at the proper time. The training undergarment can be made of textile of differing colors and prints with a particular thickness integrated with fasteners, which lock together creating a garment with a front and back. Garments comprising functional fabrics and methods of making such garments are disclosed. In certain embodiments, an undergarment is disclosed comprising at least one moisture-absorbent layer of fabric having a first body-contacting side and a second side, and at least one moisture-repellent layer of fabric having a first side disposed adjacent to the second side of the moisture-absorbent layer, and a second side; and a leg cuff comprising a portion of the moisture-repellent layer, a seam and an elongate elastic member.

An undergarment article has a fabric a fabric layer for wearing about a pelvic region of a person, a water-repellent layer coupled to a crotch portion of the fabric layer to form an inner chamber, and an inner pad disposed within the inner chamber between the water-repellent layer and the fabric layer. A permeable undergarment comprising, a top portion and a bottom portion wherein the top portion of the undergarment is provided by a waistband, and the bottom portion of the undergarment is provided with the permeable layer. The permeable layer comprises a mesh of wicking fibres to wick the body fluids discharged from a user and transfers the body fluids through the permeable layer. A detachable pouch having a base layer and a plurality of side walls is also provided. The detachable pouch is defined such that, the base layer and the plurality of side walls together form a housing region. The housing region may house at least one absorption pad. The detachable pouch may be detachably attached or joined to the undergarment such that, the body fluids discharged from the user flows through the permeable layer and into the detachable pouch for absorption by the at least one absorption pad.

A garment panel includes a material that is configured to attach to an internal surface of a garment to form the garment panel, and that includes a front surface and a rear surface; and an opening in the material to permit genitalia of a user to be inserted through the opening and remain disposed in a space formed between the internal surface of the garment and the front surface of the material.

An article of clothing includes an outer portion and an inner portion with relatively thin profiles to imitate typical pajama pants and underwear. The inner portion retains liquids in the crotch region and prevents leaks, despite its relatively thin profile. The inner portion also includes leg holes constructed to create liquid-retaining barriers around the user's legs by cinching around the outer regions of the user's legs. This enables the material forming the portions of the leg holes around the inner regions of the user's legs to remain relatively flat, leading to increased comfort and a reduced profile around the crotch.
