PANT STRUCTURE WITH EFFICIENTLY MANUFACTURED AND AESTHETICALLY PLEASING REAR LEG PROFILE
A disposable absorbent pant having a front belt portion and a rear belt portion is disclosed. The front and rear belt portions are joined at side seams and the rear belt portion has a greater length than the front belt portion. A lower edge of the rear belt portion forms at least in part edges of left and right leg openings to the rear of the side seams. The rear belt portion includes first and second layers of nonwoven web material sandwiching a plurality of laterally extending and laterally pre-strained elastic strands, disposed below the side seams. A first of the plurality of elastic strands differs from a second of the plurality of elastic strands by one or more of amount of pre-strain, tensile modulus, decitex, and combinations thereof.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLICATION OF ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An apparatus for assisting a caregiver with aligning an absorbent article chassis and side panels with a supine wearer’s hips, spine and leg opening. The apparatus includes a complementary mechanical fastener portion for engaging with an absorbent article complementary mechanical fastener portion. To align the apparatus and absorbent article assembly, a caregiver, utilizing a grasping element positions the assembly beneath a supine wearer with fewer incidents of ripping and tearing of absorbent article side panels and fasteners prior to application.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING INTEGRATED STRETCH MONITORING
An absorbent article for personal hygiene such as a diaper, or training pant, or incontinence insert, the absorbent article comprising: a liquid permeable topsheet; a liquid impermeable backsheet; an absorbent core interposed between said topsheet and said backsheet, together forming an absorbent article chassis having a front edge, a back edge and oppositely disposed side edges connecting said front and back edges and running along a longitudinal axis y; an elastic-material-com prising component selected from the group consisting of: one or more cuffs extending substantially parallel to said side edges comprising one or more elastic elements; one or more transversal barriers extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis y and along said front and/or back edges, said transversal barriers comprising one or more elastic elements; one or more, preferably at least two, side panels comprising one or more elastic elements, said side panels being joined to said chassis about a proximal end thereof and having a distal end extending away from said chassis along a transverse axis x being substantially perpendicular to said longitudinal axis y; one or more elastic waistbands positioned adjacent said front and/or back edges comprising one or more elastic elements; and combinations thereof; and a detection device that can be removably attached to the absorbent article, wherein the elastic elements comprise a conductive material and/or coating and are in electrical communication with said detection device arranged to provide a signal upon a change in resistance or capacitance in response to a change in extension of said elastic element(s) (107).
Disposable absorbent articles
An absorbent article comprising a first and second plurality of elastics. The first plurality of elastics may be disposed in a front and a crotch region. The second plurality of elastics may be disposed in a back region and the crotch region. The first and second plurality of elastics may be linear and parallel with a transverse axis of the article.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING A ONE-PIECE CHASSIS AND INTEGRAL SIDE PORTIONS
An absorbent article which has a one-piece chassis and integral side portions. The one-piece chassis can be a bi-laminate material and can have a liquid permeable layer and a liquid impermeable layer bonded together. The side portions can be integrally formed from the one-piece chassis.
REUSABLE OUTER COVER FORMED FROM A NONWOVEN
Provided is a reusable outer cover. The reusable outer cover is suitable for use as a cover to an absorbent article. The reusable outer cover according to embodiments disclosed herein can be a single layer. It can be fully compatible with polyethylene recycling streams and can exhibit improved, maintained, or desirable properties in comparison to existing commercially available reusable outer covers. The reusable outer cover is formed from a nonwoven, where the nonwoven comprises a bicomponent fiber comprising a first and second region.
PAD-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
The pad-type disposable diaper allows, with the diaper attached to underwear, easy checking for appropriate positioning. The diaper has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the under faces of a first fixing zone located in the crotch section and the second fixing zones located forward and backward of the first fixing zone, and is to be fixed to the underwear with at least one of the front and back end portions thereof sticking out of the waist opening of the underwear. The at least one of the front and back end portions is provided with right and left marks indicative of the front-back positions so as to be visually observable from the underside of the diaper, and the marks are spaced apart from each other in the width direction and arranged in symmetry with respect to the center line passing the center of the width of the diaper.
Washable diaper
A washable diaper having an outer article is disclosed. The outer article includes an intermediate portion comprising opposing side edges, an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer article also includes front end and front end portions extending from the intermediate portion comprising an outer surface, a respective liquid impervious compartment at an inner surface thereof, and opposing extended side portions that extend outwardly from a medial portion thereof past the opposing side edges of the intermediate portion. The inner surface of the extended side portions of the back end include at least one first attachment mechanism. The outer surface of at least the extended side portions of the front end include at least one second attachment mechanism and at least one first attachment mechanism, the first and second attachment mechanisms configured to removable couple together.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ABSORBENT CORE
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The article also includes a waist feature having a portion extending longitudinally outboard of the chassis in the waist region. The backsheet includes a barrier layer having a maximum length, L.sub.BS. The absorbent core has absorbent material and a maximum length, L.sub.CW. L.sub.CW is substantially the same as L.sub.BS. The absorbent material is disposed in an absorbent material deposition area. The absorbent material deposition area has a maximum length, L.sub.AB, and L.sub.AB is about 90% or greater of L.sub.BS. The first absorbent area lateral edge is disposed a longitudinal distance, D1, from the first barrier lateral edge, and D1 is about 5% or less of L.sub.BS.
