An absorption insert (5) having an inner side and an outer side is arranged on the inner side (30) of the diaper cover (3), the absorption insert (5) comprising a liquid-impermeable back sheet (62) and a top sheet (64), between which an absorption body (7) is arranged. The absorption insert (5) extends into the first overlap regions (40) and is fixed there at least in some sections with the outer side thereof on the diaper cover (3). The absorption insert (5) has a length L2, where L2<L1.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING CHANNELS
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent core being enclosed by a liquid-permeable core cover comprising an upper core cover layer and a lower core cover layer and having a longitudinal center line. The absorbent core has a pair of longitudinally extending side edges and a pair of transversely extending end edges. The core cover layers are connected inside seals extending along the side edges of the absorbent core. The absorbent core comprises one or more longitudinally extending channels arranged at a distance from the side seals, each of the one or more channels being free or substantially free from absorbent material and having a channel seal extending therein. The channel seal joins the upper and lower core cover layers of the core cover within the channel, with a seal strength of the channel seal being higher than a seal strength of each of the first and the second side seals of the absorbent core.
Methods and apparatuses for making elastomeric laminates with elastic strands unwound from spools on surface unwinders
The present disclosure relates to methods for assembling elastomeric laminates, wherein elastic material may be stretched and joined with either or both first and second substrates. First spools are rotated to unwind first elastic strands from a first unwinder in a machine direction. The first elastic strands are positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate to form an elastomeric laminate. Before the first elastic strands are completely unwound from the rotating first spools, second spools are rotated to unwind second elastic strands from a second unwinder. Subsequently, the advancement of the first elastic strands from the first unwinder is discontinued. Thus, the elastomeric laminate assembly process may continue uninterrupted while switching from an initially utilized elastic material drawn from the first spools to a subsequently utilized elastic material drawn from the second spools.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The disclosure provides an absorbent undergarment comprising an integrated absorbent assembly, having an extension in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The assembly comprises an absorbent core comprising first and second absorbent layers, and having front, crotch and rear portions, and front and rear transverse edges. The first and second absorbent layers overlap in the crotch portion. The first absorbent layer has a first layer frontmost half and a rearmost half, the first absorbent layer having front and rear transverse edges. The second absorbent layer has a rearmost half and frontmost half, the second absorbent layer has a rear transverse edge and front transverse edge, wherein a maximum width of the first layer frontmost half is greater than that of the first layer rearmost half and wherein a maximum width of the second layer rearmost half is greater than that of the second layer frontmost half.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH FRONT AND/OR BACK WAIST REGIONS HAVING A HIGH-STRETCH ZONE AND A LOW-STRETCH ZONE AND METHODS FOR MAKING
The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles having elastic laminates in front and/or back waist regions with high-stretch zones and low-stretch zones.
CONFIGURABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING REMOVABLE FASTENING MEMBERS
Configurable absorbent articles are provided. The absorbent articles may comprise a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent articles may comprise a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region extending intermediate the first waist region and the second waist region, and an outer cover material joined to the backsheet and forming a portion of a garment-facing surface of the absorbent article. The absorbent articles may comprise leg cuffs and one or more fully removable fastening members. The fastening member may comprise a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and positioned proximate to a first end and a second fastener on the first surface and positioned proximate to a second end.
Disposable diaper and a method of manufacturing a disposable diaper
A disposable diaper includes a skin-surface side sheet; a non-skin surface side sheet; an absorber; and a waistline retaining unit. Leg stretching units are arranged in the inner side in a longitudinal direction from diaper ends that configure the outer circumference of the disposable diaper or the inner side in a widthwise direction from the diaper ends. A part of the waistline retaining unit is arranged in at least one of a first region in an outer side in the longitudinal direction from the ends of the leg stretching units, and a second region in an outer side in the widthwise direction from the ends of the leg stretching units. A joint region where the skin-surface side and non-skin surface side sheets are joined is provided along the diaper ends in at least one of a first region and a second region.
Disposable diaper
A disposable diaper in which an absorbent body (7) is provided on a crotch part of a pants-shaped exterior member (2), wherein the absorbent body (7) is adhered to a skin-facing side of the exterior member (2) at a first adhering region (14), an inner sheet (5) and an outer sheet (6) of the exterior member (2) are adhered to each other at a second adhering region (16), the second adhering region (16) includes a second middle adhering region (16M) provided at the crotch part, a second central front adhering region (16CF) located anterior thereto so as to overlap with the first adhering region (14) and a second central rear adhering region (16CB) located posterior thereto so as to overlap with the first adhering region (14), and second front non-adhering regions (17F) are formed on both sides of the second central front adhering region (16CF) in the width direction so as to overlap with the absorbent body (7) and/or second rear non-adhering regions (17B) are formed on both sides of the second central rear adhering region (16CB) in the width direction so as to overlap with the absorbent body (7).
Disposable absorbent articles having cuffs of improved stretch laminate structure
An absorbent article having longitudinal cuffs of improved structure is disclosed. The improved cuffs may be elasticized by a plurality of elastic strands that are substantially greater in number, closer in spacing, lower in pre-strain, and lower in decitex, or any combination of these, as compared with those in conventional articles. This combination of features results in ruffles or gathers of cuff material joined to the elastic strands that are substantially greater in machine-direction frequency and substantially lesser in z-direction amplitude, than those in conventional articles. As a result, the cuff structure lies more closely and evenly against the wearer's skin, has an improved, more cloth-like appearance, provides improved gasketing, and provides improved wearer comfort, as compared with cuff structures in conventional articles. A method for manufacturing articles with such cuff structures, utilizing a warp beam as a supply mechanism, is also disclosed.
