An absorbent article may have a Product Length-to-Side Silhouette from 0.5 to about 1.5. An array of absorbent articles may have an Array Average Product Length-to-Side Silhouette from 0.5 to about 1.5.

A disposable diaper 1 has an elasticized leg cuff 10 on each longitudinally extending, lateral side of the crotch portion C. Disclosed is a pant type absorbent article having a waist guard portion on the front and/or back elastic belt, wherein the waist guard portion has a specific location in view of the location from the distal edge to the proximal edge relative to the percentage of the seam length LS, the waist guard portion comprising a waist guard elastic portion having a longitudinal dimension of no greater than about 40mm, wherein the remainder of the elastic belt superposing the waist guard elastic portion is defined a correlated portion, wherein the tensile stress of the waist guard elastic portion is higher than that of the correlated portion.

This invention discloses novel particulate compositions made by modifying Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) and other high surface area substrates to create granules that exhibit broad-spectrum antimicrobial and enzyme-inactivating properties, and that can directly neutralize certain malodorants and other undesirable chemical entities, such as toxins. This is accomplished by the direct interaction of the modifying moieties with: (1) vital components of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and viruses; (2) enzymes, such as those that are responsible for the generation of malodorants and other toxic volatile compounds; and (3) certain malodorants and other undesirable compounds that are susceptible to oxidative or halogenation reactions that can neutralize their odors or toxicities. Chemical modifications of granular materials are accomplished by exposure to organic solvents containing soluble or dispersible N-halamine.

A sanitary pad. The sanitary pad includes an elongated pad having an upper surface and a lower surface. An upraised member having a first lateral side and a second lateral side is disposed on the upper surface. To align the apparatus and absorbent article assembly, a caregiver, utilizing a grasping element positions the assembly beneath a supine wearer with fewer incidents of ripping and tearing of absorbent article side panels and fasteners prior to application.

An absorbent article has a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; first and second opposing longitudinal side edges, a front waist region and a back waist region; and a first and second back ear extending outwardly from the first and longitudinal side edges in the back waist region, respectively. The first and second back ears have an engineering strain greater than about 8% at about or below 2N of force when measured according to the Back Ear Extension Test, and a roughness Ra lower than about 300 m when measured according to the Roughness Test.
