UNDERPANTS-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
The present invention is intended to provide the advantages of forming the leg gathers with the liquid impervious film that allow reduction of the used amount of the non-woven fabric while suppressing the deterioration of the texture, and others. The foregoing issue is solved by providing leg gathers that have: an inside non-woven fabric layer constituting a width-direction inner surface; an outside non-woven fabric layer constituting a width-direction outer surface; elastically stretchable gather materials that are provided along the front-back direction between the inside non-woven fabric layer and the outside non-woven fabric layer of at least forward end portions in front-back direction intermediate portions; and a liquid impervious film that is sandwiched between the inside non-woven fabric layer and the outside non-woven fabric layer ranging from a base end to a position nearer a forward end side than the base end, and is configured such that parts of the leg gathers having the liquid impervious film nearer the base end side than the forward end portions constitute non-woven fabric absent parts where the inside non-woven fabric layer does not exist and the liquid impervious film is exposed.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH EXUDATE INDICATOR
An absorbent article (10, 110, 210) can include an absorbent assembly (43) including a bodyside liner (28), an outer cover (26, 126, 226), and an absorbent body (35) disposed between the bodyside liner (28) and the outer cover (26, 126, 226). The outer cover (26, 126, 226) can include at least one opaque region (64, 164, 264) and a first indicator region (66, 166, 266). The first indicator region (66, 166, 266) can have a light transmittance that is greater than a light transmittance of the at least one opaque region (64, 164, 264). At least a portion of the first indicator region (66, 166, 266) can be located between the first longitudinal edge (36) of the absorbent body (35) and the first coupling length (45) of the first containment flap (44) in at least the crotch region (16) of the absorbent article (10, 110, 210).
A PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING AN ELASTIC LAMINATE
A pant-type absorbent article includes a front and a back portion, longitudinally extending side seams and a connecting portion between the front and back portions. The connecting portion forms a crotch region and leg openings. Part of the front portion, back portion, and the connecting portion is made of an elastic laminate extending transversely across the front, back and connecting portions. Elongated leg elastic members extend along the leg openings in at least part of the connecting portion and terminate at a distance from the respective side seam thus leaving an area corresponding to a peripheral length of at least 50 mm along the respective leg opening where the leg elastic members are absent and wherein the connecting portion in the area where the leg elastic members are absent is made of the elastic laminate in at least 90% of the peripheral length.
Pull-on diaper
A pull-on diaper for younger baby has a transverse direction and a longitudinal direction, front and waist regions, a crotch region, and rear waist regions and leg cuffs extending along respective laterals of the crotch region. Each of front and rear waist panels is sectionalized into a first elastically contractible region and a second elastically contractible region wherein a dimensional ratio in the longitudinal direction between the first elastically contractible region and the second elastically contractible region is in a range of 1:1.6 to 1:2.2 and an elongation ratio of waist elastics attached to the first elastically contractible region is lower than an elongation ratio of the waist elastics attached to the second elastically contractible region and the elongation ratio of the waist elastics attached to the second elastically contractible region is lower than an elongation ratio of leg cuff elastics.
Configurable absorbent articles having improved bodily exudate separation and sampling
Configurable absorbent articles with improved bodily exudate separation and sampling are provided.
Pants-type wearing article and production method for same
A pull-on garment (1) includes an outer cover (3) forming an outer surface of the garment, both lateral side edge portions of the outer cover in a front body portion F and both lateral side edge portions of the outer cover in a back body portion R being joined to each other to form a pair of side seals (4), a waist opening (8), and a pair of leg openings (9). Each of the side seals (4) includes a seal edge portion (41) where the edge portion (3F) of the outer cover (3) in the front body portion F and the edge portion of the outer cover (3) in the back body portion R are bonded to each other by a continuous linear fusion-bonded portion (40) extending in a longitudinal direction of the side seal (4). In a cross-section orthogonal to a direction in which the side seal (4) extends, the fusion-bonded portion (40) includes a narrow section (4F) which is formed at a middle portion thereof in the thickness direction Q and of which a width W along the inner-to-outer direction P is small. The narrow section (4F) includes broad sections (4A, 4B) which are provided on both sides of the narrow section (4F) in the thickness direction Q and of which the width W is larger than the width of the narrow section (4F).
DIAPER ADAPTED FOR COLLECTION OF URINE SAMPLE FROM AN INFANT
A disposable diaper product useful for collecting a urine sample from an infant is disclosed. In one example the product may have a liquid control structure overlying a liquid impermeable backsheet, with a plan surface area defining a volume coextensive therewith, wherein a portion of the volume defined by at least 50 percent of the plan surface area contains no more than 50 percent by weight absorbent material. In another example the product may have a liquid control structure overlying a liquid impermeable backsheet, and have an average Liquid Release Ratio of at least 3 percent. A method for collecting a urine sample from an infant is also disclosed, in which a diaper is used for collection.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MAKING ELASTOMERIC LAMINATES WITH ELASTIC STRANDS PROVIDED WITH A SPIN FINISH
The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. The elastomeric laminates may include a first substrate, a second substrate, and an elastic material located between the first and second substrates. During assembly of an elastomeric laminate, a beam is rotated to unwind the elastic strands from the beam, wherein the strands may include a spin finish. First bonds are applied to bond discrete lengths of the stretched elastic strands with and between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the discrete first bonds are arranged intermittently along the machine direction. In addition, second bonds are applied between consecutive first bonds to bond the first and second substrates directly to each other, wherein the second bonds extend in the machine direction and may be separated from each other in a cross direction by at least one elastic strand.
