A connecting-type disposable wearing article including a three-dimensional waist gather rising from a front surface and being provided along a second blocking position disposed between first back fallen portions of a three-dimensional side gather. The three-dimensional waist gather has: a waist root portion attached along the second blocking position; a second portion extending from the waist root portion toward a waist edge side; second fallen portions formed by fixing both end portions in a width direction of the second portion in a fallen state, respectively; a second rising portion formed to be non-fixed between the second fallen portions in the second portion; and a second three-dimensional elastic member attached at least to a tip portion of the second rising portion, and at least the tip portion of the second rising portion is contracted in the width direction together with the second three-dimensional elastic member and extensible in the width direction.

An attachable-type disposable wearing article including waist elastic members fixed to an end flap, standup gather parts located on opposed widthwise sides, a linear first bending part extending in the width direction from a front edge of one of the back laid-down portions to a front edge of the other, and a linear second bending part extending in the width direction and spaced forwardly apart from the first bending part, a first area adjacent backward to the first bending part and a second area between the first and second bending parts, the waist stretchable region is provided at least between the opposed right and left back laid-down portions, and the first bending part has lower rigidity compared to the first area and the second area.

The distal portion (78) can be free to move with respect to the chassis (11) when the absorbent article (10, 110, 210, 310) is in a relaxed configuration. The free edge (88) can be about 50.0 millimeters or less from the rear waist edge (24) of the absorbent article (10, 110, 210, 310) when the absorbent article (10, 110, 210, 310) is in the stretched, laid-flat configuration.

A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis that includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a leg gasketing system and at least one waist gasketing element. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff; the inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge. An underpants-type disposable diaper has outer members that separately or integrally configures a front body and a back body. An inner member is attached to the outer members from the front body to the back body. The outer members have a waist extended section that extends to a side of the waist opening of an edge of the inner member on a waist side. The underpants-type disposable diaper further has a display sheet containing a liquid impervious resin film on an outer side of the inner member in a region in which the outer members and the inner member overlap with each other in at least one of the front body and the back body, in which the display sheet extends from a region overlapping the inner member into the waist extended section.
