Diaper with bowel pocket
A diaper insert has specifically configured contours on an inside surface to trap and contain bowel movements delivered within the diaper. An upper rear portion of the insert provides a protruding section of absorbent padding being contoured to match a lower lumbar region of the wearer. An upper front portion of the insert is provided with an additional absorbent pad to abut the abdominal area of the wearer. When a user, wearing a diaper equipped with the insert experiences a bowel movement, the padding sections contain the bowel movement within the diaper, and prevent the bowel movement from being secreted from a waist area of the diaper. In at least one (1) embodiment the insert is manufactured to be an integral portion of a diaper. In at least one (1) embodiment unitary rear and front barriers are removably added to a diaper.
Method for manufacturing absorbent articles including a discrete barrier member
A method for manufacturing an absorbent article including a topsheet, a backsheet, a core, a discrete barrier member, a first cuff, and a second cuff. A barrier substrate may be cut into a discrete barrier member including a leading edge portion, an opposing trailing edge portion, and a central portion therebetween. The discrete barrier substrate may be transferred onto a folding roll. A first cuff substrate and a second cuff substrate may be advanced onto the folding roll such that the discrete barrier substrate may be disposed on at least a portion of the first cuff substrate and the second cuff substrate. The discrete barrier member may include a fold between the leading edge portion and the trailing edge portion. A topsheet substrate may associate with at least a portion of the discrete barrier member, the first cuff substrate, and the second cuff substrate.
Absorbent article with absorbent core
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The article also includes a waist feature having a portion extending longitudinally outboard of the chassis in the waist region. The backsheet includes a barrier layer having a maximum length, L.sub.BS. The absorbent core has absorbent material and a maximum length, L.sub.CW. L.sub.CW is substantially the same as L.sub.BS. The absorbent material is disposed in an absorbent material deposition area. The absorbent material deposition area has a maximum length, L.sub.AB, and L.sub.AB is about 90% or greater of L.sub.BS. The first absorbent area lateral edge is disposed a longitudinal distance, D1, from the first barrier lateral edge, and D1 is about 5% or less of L.sub.BS.
DIAPER WITH COLLECTION POUCH
A diaper comprises an outer side and an opposite inner side comprising an absorbent part. A top layer is sealed to the inner surface about its peripheral border and defines a top layer area delimited by the peripheral border that overlies at least a portion of the absorbent part but is not unconnected thereto. The top layer area, the absorbent part and the peripheral border define a pouch therebetween. The pouch defines a pouch cavity therein. The top layer area defines a body contacting surface and provides an opening for accessing the pouch cavity. When the diaper is worn by a user. the opening is provided to be positioned about the anus of the user for providing for faecal matter to enter the pouch cavity during defecation.
Incontinence treatment system and methods of use
Described herein is an incontinence treatment system and method of use. In certain embodiments the incontinence treatment system comprises a rear incontinence member capable of being releasably coupled to a front incontinence member. For example, in one certain embodiment the rear incontinence member includes a rear absorbent region, a rear outer layer coupled to the rear absorbent region, and a plurality of coupling members. The front incontinence member typically includes a front absorbent region and a front outer layer coupled to the front absorbent region, a support material being disposed around at least a portion of the front absorbent region, and one or more coupling regions being configured and arranged to engage at least a portion of the plurality of coupling members to couple the rear incontinence member to the front incontinence member.
Diaper for Structurally Isolating Urine Matter from Fecal Matter
A diaper including a front section sheet having a urinary side absorbent material that is configured to be operable for mainly capturing urine matter. A back section sheet having a urinary side absorbent material that is configured to be operable for considerably capturing fecal matter. A proximate middle inner portion bridges the front section sheet and back section sheet. A divider element is configured to structurally separate or isolate urine matter from fecal matter.
DIAPER WITH COLLECTION POUCH
A diaper comprises a backing layer defining an outer side and an opposite inner side. An absorbent core defines a top surface and an opposite underside surface overlying the inner side of the backing layer. At least a substantial portion of the underside surface is unconnected to at least a substantial portion the inner side. An opening is formed along a length of the absorbent core extending from the top surface to the underside surface. A peripheral border structure surrounds the backing sheet and the absorbent core and is integrated therewith. The peripheral border structure and the unconnected portions of the underside surface and the inner side form a pouch therebetween accessible via the opening. When the diaper is worn by a user, the opening is positioned about the anus of a user for providing for fecal matter to enter the pouch during defecation.
