The cosmetic implement may include a locking mechanism to retain the implement in the stored state. The locking mechanism may be actuated by squeezing first and second sides of the second portion towards each other.

There is presented a compact housing for a compact cosmetic container. The housing comprises a godet receptacle adapted to receive a godet containing a cosmetic product. The housing is movable between a closed configuration, in which the cosmetic product of the received godet is covered, and an open configuration, in which the cosmetic product of the received godet is uncovered to allow a user to access the cosmetic product.
