Anti-microbial balanced weave wearable undergarment and process therefore

In an embodiment, a garment, such as a smart pull-up, includes at least one outer section and a midsection attached to the outer section. The midsection includes a first antimicrobial membrane patch layer configured to contact a wearer's body, a second antimicrobial membrane patch layer disposed adjacent to the first antimicrobial patch layer, and an air gap disposed between the first patch and second antimicrobial patch layers. The first and second antimicrobial patch layers each are formed from respective balanced warp big tows and fill tows in a plain-weave pattern, and each layer include copper filaments disposed in a plurality of the tows, each of the copper filaments including at least Cu+/Cu+++ ions. Such a smart pull-up may be suitable for either adult who cannot use the toilet, or child, or healthy adult and, therefore, may urinate and defecate himself/herself.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE

An absorbent article includes a topsheet comprising a composite sheet. In the composite sheet, projections that protrude toward the skin of the wearer are formed by a first sheet protruding in a direction away from a second sheet at portions other than bonding portions. A plurality of first oblique bonding portion rows and a plurality of second oblique bonding portion rows are formed, and a long bonding portion elongated in a longitudinal direction is formed at each intersection of the first oblique bonding portion rows and the second oblique bonding portion rows. Laterally long projections elongated in a width direction are formed in a dispersed manner in the longitudinal direction and the width direction. Each laterally long projection is surrounded by two first oblique bonding portion rows and two second oblique bonding portion rows, and the long bonding portion is formed between adjacent laterally long projections in the width direction.

An absorbent article such as a baby diaper comprising a three-dimensional laminate 30 having a first layer 1 intermittently bonded to a second layer 2 by a heterophase polymer. The topsheet comprises three-dimensional protrusions 9 in the first layer 1 which are not bonded to the second layer 2. The heterophase polymer has an enthalpy of fusion of at least 10 J/g. The laminate may be used on the wearer-facing side of the article as topsheet 24 and/or on the garment-facing side as part of the backsheet 26. The first layer may comprise natural fibers.

Fixed flat cloth diaper

The diaper of the present invention is a fixed flat cloth diaper. The diaper is fixed, because an outer layer of the diaper resembles the final format of a flat, rectangular cloth diaper having been folded origami style into a shape suitable for donning on a wearer by a user. The outer layer functions primarily to retain the diaper upon the wearer and has a stomach panel for obtaining a good closure of the diaper on the wearer. The diaper is flat, because an inner layer of the diaper is attached to the outer layer, and the inner layer is a flat, rectangular shape which is customizable for absorbency and can be folded into a flat insert configuration of the user's choice prior to donning the diaper on the wearer. The inner layer functions primarily to absorb waste (urine and feces) excreted by the wearer.

ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH IMPROVED TOPSHEET DRYNESS

Absorbent articles having three-dimensional, apertured, liquid permeable topsheets, acquisition materials, liquid permeable backsheets, and absorbent cores are disclosed. The absorbent articles provide improved topsheet dryness, reduced collagen rewet, and improved modified fluid acquisition.
