Patterned apertured webs and methods for making the same

A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed therebetween is described herein. The topsheet includes a first zone disposed between a second zone and a third zone; a first end area and a second end area; and an array of features which includes one of apertures, tufts, ridges, or grooves disposed in the first zone. A plurality of bond sites are disposed in the second and third zones. The plurality of bond sites are configured in a curvilinear manner in at least the first end area or the second end area and mask a boundary of the first zone.

Method For Making An Apertured Web

The present invention relates to a method for making an aperture web. The method includes the steps of: moving a micro-textured web through a first member having male elements and a second member having discontinuous female elements, wherein the male elements are arranged in a staggered pattern.

A height of the first projection is higher than a height of the second projection. A first depression is provided with a widthwise projection configured to divide a space in a first depression extending in a front-back direction. A pitch of the first projection in the width direction is larger than a pitch of the second projection in the width direction.
