METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING GRAPHICS
An absorbent article may be constructed by printing on an unstretched web that forms a portion of the side panels. Seams may be formed by attaching the side panels to a chassis. The side panels and the chassis may have different elastic properties. The absorbent article may also comprise first and second waistbands.
STRAND-BASED LAMINATES IN ABSORBENT ARTICLES
Absorbent articles comprising a multilayer outer cover comprising a first outer layer and a second outer layer comprising a component that exhibits at least partial elastic recovery after mechanical activation in the machine direction; an inner layer, disposed between the first outer layer and the second outer layer, the inner layer comprising elastic strands; and wherein at least one of the first outer layer and second outer layer is laminated to the inner layer.
BODY-CONFORMABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH AN ELASTIC BACKSHEET
Disposable absorbent articles having a topsheet; a backsheet having an elastic layer and a constricting layer; and an absorbent core structure having an open-celled absorbent foam material disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent foam material includes a plurality of discrete foam pieces, wherein the discrete foam pieces are separated from neighboring pieces by a Relaxed Gap of from about 10 microns to about 280 microns, as measured according to the SEM Imaging Method. The articles exhibit an OD Full Product Force Threshold at 15 mm extension of greater than 7.2 N, as measured according to the Simple Tensile Method.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH LAMINATE BOND PATTERN
An absorbent article including a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions. The absorbent article also includes a chassis having a topsheet, backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. An elastic laminate may be joined to the chassis in one of the first or second waist regions. The elastic laminate includes an ultrasonically bonded laminate having a first bond pattern and a second bond pattern. The first bond pattern includes a plurality of repeating units and, each repeating unit includes a closed cell unit. The bonds in the first bond pattern include a Bond Separation Distance of about 3.5 mm or less. The first bond pattern is in non-overlapping relationship with the second bond pattern.
Substrates and laminates for absorbent articles
The present disclosure provides substrates and laminates for absorbent articles and absorbent articles comprising the substrates or laminates. The substrates and laminates may have three-dimensional elements, land areas, and increased permeability regions intermediate at least some of the land areas and at least some of the three-dimensional elements. The increased permeability regions may be positioned adjacent to the three-dimensional elements. The land areas may have a first basis weight and the increased permeability regions may have a second basis weight. The first basis weight may be greater than the second basis weight.
