The present invention is directed to a wearable article 20 continuous in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction comprising a main body 38 and a ring-like elastic belt 40 comprising an outer cover layer 42 at the most garment-facing side and a backsheet 60 attached to the skin-facing surface of the outer cover layer 42; wherein the longitudinal length of the outer cover layer 42 is longer than the longitudinal length of the crotch panel 56 and shorter than the longitudinal length of the backsheet 60; and further comprising: a front belt artwork region 40F disposed on the front waist panel 52 where the outer cover layer 42 is absent; and a back belt artwork region 40B disposed on the back waist panel 54 where the outer cover layer 42 is absent; and wherein one or both of the front belt artwork region 40F and the back belt artwork region 40B comprises a belt artwork 40A; a transitional region 34F, 34B disposed on the front waist panel 52 and the back waist panel 54 where the outer cover layer 42 exists; and a crotch artwork region 30 disposed on the crotch panel 56 comprising a crotch artwork 40A; wherein at least some of the belt artwork 30A and some of the crotch artwork 40A are printed on the backsheet 60, wherein when the opacity of the outer cover layer is OC and the opacity of one or both of the front belt and the back belt 84, 86 comprising the belt artwork is OB, respectively, the difference between OC and OB is less than about 20%.

Wearable article with outwardmost layer of multicomponent fiber nonwoven providing enhanced mechanical features

A fastening system comprising a nonwoven web material operable to fastenably engage a fastening component is disclosed. The nonwoven web material may comprising multicomponent fibers having a polyolefin component and a polyamide component, and a machine direction bias. The nonwoven web material may bear an impressed pattern of thermal bonds having an average frequency along any line that can be identified in the machine direction, of at least 0.5 bonds per cm.

Apertured outer cover for absorbent articles

An outer cover for an absorbent article includes a nonwoven component having a plurality of apertures formed therein and a film bonded to the apertured nonwoven component. The apertures in the nonwoven component are formed by needling prior to the film being bonded to the nonwoven component. A method of making the outer cover includes feeding a web of nonwoven material to a needling station, needling the web of nonwoven material to form a plurality of apertures therein to define an apertured web of nonwoven material, and bonding the apertured web of nonwoven material to a film.

Disposable absorbent lift device

The present invention relates to a disposable absorbent pad comprising multiple layers. In particular, the absorbent pad of the present invention maintains skin dryness by absorbing moisture while preventing leakage to the skin or the bed linens, allowing air circulation at the surface of the patient's skin to prevent heat buildup, and is strong enough to allow the patient to be repositioned, even when the pad is wet. In a particular embodiment the first layer is comprised of a fluid-permeable, porous material, the second layer is disposed under the first layer and is comprised of at least one super absorbent material, and a base layer disposed under the second layer.

Patterned Apertured Webs

A patterned apertured web is disclosed. The patterned apertured web includes a plurality of land areas in the patterned apertured web and a plurality of apertures defined in the patterned apertured web. At least some land areas of the plurality of land areas surround at least some apertures of the plurality of apertures. The patterned apertured web has an Effective Open Area in the range of about 3% to about 30%, according to the Aperture Test herein. The patterned apertured web has a plurality of Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances have a distribution having a median and a mean. The plurality of apertures include a first set of apertures defining a first shape and a second set of apertures defining a second shape.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH LEG CUFFS

A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis that includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a leg gasketing system. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff; the inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff folded edge and an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally inward to form the outer cuff folded edge and folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge, and the leg gasketing system further including a leg gasketing system pocket with an opening on an inboard longitudinal edge of the leg gasketing system pocket. The disposable absorbent article also includes at least one channel in the absorbent core.

Absorbent Articles

Absorbent articles comprising material webs are disclosed herein. The material webs described herein can provide a bevy of benefits when utilized in the context of absorbent articles, and such material webs can facilitate the manufacturing of absorbent article.
