Disposable absorbent article having elasticized outer leg cuff
The present invention is directed to a disposable absorbent article. The disposable absorbent article has a longitudinal centerline, a lateral centerline, an outer surface and an inner surface. The absorbent article is folded before use along the lateral direction. The disposable absorbent article comprises a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, an absorbent core disposed therebetween, and an elasticized outer leg cuff. The elasticized outer leg cuff is disposed adjacent to a longitudinal side edge of the absorbent article. The elasticized outer leg cuff has a base and a gasket cuff supported by the base at a joint of the base to the gasket cuff. The gasket cuff is provided with elasticity and has a top gasket cuff surface, an inner cuff extending laterally inwardly from the joint and an outer cuff extending laterally outwardly from the joint. Before use of the absorbent article, the elasticized outer leg cuff is folded laterally inwardly onto the inner surface of the absorbent article such that the top gasket cuff surface faces upwardly.
Method of Making an Absorbent Composite and Absorbent Articles Employing the Same
A method of making an absorbent composite that includes a first fabric, a second fabric, and particles positioned between the two fabrics and absorbent articles made from the absorbent composite. The particles are secured between the two fabric using adhesive, thermal plastic or combinations thereof. The fabrics are bonded together in a manner that limits particle movement between the fabrics. The bond pattern may define pockets or other shapes. In applications in which the bond pattern forms pockets, the particles may be positioned in the pockets. The particles may be SAP particles or other particles with advantageous properties.
Stretch breathable protective absorbent article using bilaminate
A disposable absorbent article of a brief or pull-up type incorporates a breathable laminate material composed of two layers. The laminate is an elastic material and may include non-elastic portions created by deactivating the material. The laminate material may be made breathable by the ultrasonic bonding process used to create the laminate. A third layer is adhered or bonded to the laminate and with leg elastics positioned between the laminate that the third layer. The absorbent article includes an absorbent assembly that overlaps with the non-elastic portions of the laminate.
STRETCHABLE MEMBER AND DISPOSABLE WEAR ARTICLE USING STRETCHABLE MEMBER
To prevent or suppress the occurrence of tearing of an elastic film between stretchable regions in an elastic sheet stretchable structure. An elastic sheet stretchable structure is provided, in which an elastic film is laminated between a first sheet layer having air permeability and a second sheet layer having air permeability, and the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are bonded at a large number of sheet bonded portions arranged at intervals. At the boundary between a first stretchable region and a second stretchable region, a separation distance Px in an elastic limit elongation state between a bonded portion located on a side of the boundary of the first stretchable region in a stretchable direction and a bonded portion located on a side of the boundary of the second stretchable region in a stretchable direction is 10 mm or less.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH FRANGIBLE PATHWAYS
The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles including elastic laminates and to methods and apparatuses for making absorbent articles having elastic laminates in front and/or back waist regions with frangible pathways.

APERTURED WEBS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed therebetween is described. The topsheet has an array of apertures forming apertured indicia. The array of apertures includes a first plurality of apertures having a first aspect ratio; a second plurality of apertures having a second aspect ratio and a first Absolute Feret Angle; and a third plurality of apertures having a third aspect ratio and a second Absolute Feret Angle, wherein the first Absolute Feret Angle and the second Absolute Feret Angle are different, and wherein the first aspect ratio is less than the second and third aspect ratios.
Nonwoven fabric laminate, absorbent article having nonwoven fabric laminate, and process for producing nonwoven fabric laminate
An absorbent article comprising an exterior sheet formed of a nonwoven fabric laminate (1) in which a first nonwoven fabric layer (2), a second nonwoven fabric layer (3) and a third nonwoven fabric layer (4) are laminated from the outer side, wherein the first nonwoven fabric layer (2), the second nonwoven fabric layer (3) and the third nonwoven fabric layer (4) are joined to each other at a first joining part (6) by heat-embossing, and the second nonwoven fabric layer (3) and the third nonwoven fabric layer (4) are further joined to each other at a second joining part (7) by heat-embossing.
Dark-Tinted Nonwoven Webs
Absorbent articles containing dark-tinted nonwoven webs are provided. The dark-tinted nonwoven web may include a first plurality of filaments having a diameter between a between about 8 m and about 50 m, wherein the first plurality of filaments includes a pigment.
