Patterned apertured webs
A patterned apertured web is disclosed. The patterned apertured web includes a plurality of land areas in the patterned apertured web and a plurality of apertures defined in the patterned apertured web. At least some land areas of the plurality of land areas surround at least some apertures of the plurality of apertures. The patterned apertured web has an Effective Open Area in the range of about 3% to about 30%, according to the Aperture Test herein. The patterned apertured web has a plurality of Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances have a distribution having a median and a mean. The plurality of apertures include a first set of apertures defining a first shape and a second set of apertures defining a second shape.

METHODS FOR MAKING PATTERNED APERTURED WEBS
A method of producing a patterned apertured web is provided. The method comprises providing a web having a central longitudinal axis. The web comprises a plurality of overbonds extending substantially parallel to the central longitudinal axis. The method comprises conveying the web in a machine direction that is substantially parallel to a direction of extension of the central longitudinal axis of the web. The method comprises stretching the web in a cross-machine direction to cause at least some of the overbonds to at least partially rupture and at least partially form patterned apertures in the web. At least some of the patterned apertures have Absolute Feret Angles, according to the Aperture Test herein, of at least about 20 degrees. At least some of the patterned apertures have an Aspect Ratio, according to the Aperture Test herein, in the range of about 2:1 to about 6:1.
PRE-STRAINED LAMINATES AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A laminate comprising a first nonwoven layer comprising a plurality of apertures and a second nonwoven layer is provided. One of the first and second nonwoven layers is a pre-strained layer and is joined to the other one of the first and second nonwoven layers. The other one of the first and second nonwoven layers is a non-pre-strained layer. The pre-strained layer and the non-pre-strained layer together form a three-dimensional laminate.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A pad-shaped absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent body between the top- and backsheets. The topsheet, the backsheet and the absorbent body respectively have an extensibility in the longitudinal direction. The extensibility of at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet is an elastic extensibility. The sheets have first regions extending across the absorbent body in the transverse direction to express an elastic extensibility and second regions having an elastic extensibility in the longitudinal direction lower than that of the first regions. The absorbent body has a plurality of slits extending in the transverse direction and expresses an extensibility in the longitudinal direction, when the article is subjected to tensile forces opposite in the longitudinal direction so as to open the slits and the absorbent body is arranged so that at least one of the slits overlaps with the first regions
Absorbent article with klemm gradient and water repellent finishing
An absorbent member containing a hydrophobic material subjected to hydrophilic treatment, a plurality of through holes passing through the absorbent member in a thickness direction formed at a portion of the absorbent member in a target region (P). The absorbent member has a layer-stacked structure of a plurality of layers, stacked in the thickness direction. The Klemm water absorption height of a lower layer most proximal to the backsheet is higher than that of an upper layer most proximal to the topsheet. The backsheet contains a moisture permeable film including a plurality of microvoids, and having water repellent portions formed by water repellent finishing, on a portion in the target region (P) of a skin-facing surface of the moisture permeable film. A ratio of the total area of portions on which the water repellent finishing is performed to the area of the target region (P) is from 30% to 60%.
POST-TREATMENT MATERIAL FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE, ABSORBENT ARTICLE INCLUDING SAID POST-TREATMENT MATERIAL FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a post-treatment material for an absorbent article, which is excellent in appearance and texture, and can fix and hold a rolled-up state at the time of disposal. The post-treatment material according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a non-woven fabric layer including a non-woven fabric having a density of from 15 kg/m.sup.3 to 120 kg/m.sup.3 and containing chemical fibers; a resin layer including an elastomer layer; and a bonding portion to be bonded to an exterior body of an absorbent article. The non-woven fabric layer serves as an outermost surface of the post-treatment material for an absorbent article, and the bonding portion is a portion configured to be weldable by ultrasonic welding or thermal welding.
BARRIER FABRICS WITH DESIRABLE AIR PERMEABILITY
A barrier fabric suitable as a backsheet for an underpad configured for a low air loss bed, in which the barrier fabric comprises a first nonwoven fabric including outermost spunbond layers and two or more fine-fiber containing nonwoven layers. Each of the nonwoven layers being treated with a non-fluorinated barrier coating (NFBC).
