Absorbent pad
Disclosed is an absorbent pad which efficiently diffuses excretory fluid and gives no sense of discomfort to a wearer even after excretion. A front sheet and a rear sheet are joined to each other at a plurality of first junctions and a plurality of second junctions, and when viewed in plan, the first junctions extending in a longitudinal direction are arranged at predetermined intervals in a width direction, and second junctions extending in the width direction are arranged at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction. A plurality of cells, each of which is defined by an adjacent pair of the first junctions and an adjacent pair of the second junctions, is formed between the front sheet and the rear sheet spaced apart from each other. An opening extending in the longitudinal direction is formed in at least one of the first junctions.
Absorbent pad
To provide an absorbent pad, the absorbent pad being formed of an inner absorbent pad which is positioned on the body-side and an outer absorbent pad positioned on the non-body side, wherein when the inner absorbent pad absorbs liquid excretions and swells, openings are provided at the side which is indented furthest towards the non-body side, improving the passage of liquid, and improving the dispersion of sites facing the openings in the outside absorbent pad, preventing leakage of liquid excretions to the exterior.
Absorbent article and absorbent core forming channels when wet
An absorbent article for personal hygiene comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core and a fibrous layer. The absorbent core comprises a core wrap and an absorbent material with superabsorbent polymers. The core wrap comprises a top side and a bottom side bonded to one other through one or more areas substantially free of absorbent material. The fibrous layer is at least partially bonded to one of the sides of the core wrap in the area substantially free of absorbent material. When the absorbent material swells, the core wrap forms one or more channels along the area substantially free of absorbent material. The formation of the channel in the absorbent core causes the formation of one or more corresponding ditches in the fibrous layer.
Absorbent Composite, an Absorbent Article Employing the Same, and Methods, Systems, and Apparatus for Making the Absorbent Composite and/or Article
An absorbent core composite is disclosed for incorporation into a disposable absorbent article. The composite includes a first material layer and a second material layer (preferably nonwoven) partially secured to the first material layer to define at least one pocket therebetween. Preferably, multiple pockets are defined, except in the case of where a generally uniform layer or bed of absorbent is preferred or better suited fro the application. The pocket is said have a fixed initial volume. Further, an aggregate of absorbent particles is provided in the pocket(s) to occupy a portion of the fixed initial volume. The absorbent particles are preferably SAP particles and is characterized by a dry volume associated with a dry state and a swell volume associated with a liquid saturation state. In respect to or for the pocket, the aggregate is characterized by a collective dry volume and a collective swell volume, wherein the pocket has an initial configuration that retains the aggregate therein.
Absorbent pad
Provided is an absorbent pad which prevents leakage of excess liquid excrement to the exterior. An absorbent pad sheet forms an absorbent pad from a liquid-permeable front sheet and a liquid permeable rear sheet, and absorbent polymer particles which absorb liquid excrement and which are provided between the front sheet and the rear sheet. The width in the width direction formed between both side parts folded to the inside is formed as 10-50% of the width of the absorbent pad in the width direction, and some of the absorbent polymer particles at the place at which folding to the inside occurs are made to penetrate the front sheet at the place at which folding to the inside occurs.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH CHANNELS AND SIGNALS
Absorbent articles herein may provide a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core may comprise at least one channel having a shape. The backsheet graphics may substantially match the shape.
EQUIPMENT AND PROCESS FOR CREATING PARTICLE FREE REGIONS IN A PARTICLE LOADED FIBROUS WEB
The present invention is an equipment and a process for the handling of fibrous webs that comprise particulate additives, which are positioned within interstices between the fibers and/or on the surface of the webs. By applying the present invention, predetermined regions are created in the web, which are essentially free of the particulate additives.
Absorbent cores having material free areas
An absorbent core (28), for use in an absorbent article, comprising a core wrap (16, 16′) enclosing an absorbent material (60) comprising superabsorbent polymer particles. The core wrap comprises a top side (16) and a bottom side (16′), and the absorbent core comprises one or more area(s) (26) substantially free of absorbent material through which the top side of the core wrap is attached to the bottom side of the core wrap, so that when the absorbent material swells the core wrap forms one or more channel(s) (26′) along the area(s) (26) substantially free of absorbent material. The superabsorbent polymer particles have a time to reach an uptake of 20 g/g (T20) of less than 240 s as measured according to the K(t) test method.
Absorbent article with strong and weak bonded portions
An absorbent article includes an absorber having a front surface side sheet, a back surface side sheet disposed on the back surface side of the front surface side sheet, cells each of which is surrounded by bonded portions of the front surface side sheet and the back surface side sheet and inside each of which the front surface side sheet and the back surface side sheet are not bonded, and particulate materials which include superabsorbent polymer particles and which are contained in each of the cells. The bonded portions are arranged in continuous line shapes or dotted line shapes so as to form same-sized regular hexagons, which connect each other as unit shapes to be a honeycomb shape. All the cells are the same-sized regular hexagonal cells each of which is surrounded by the bonded portions.
Absorbent article and method for manufacturing an absorbent article
An absorbent article comprises an absorbent core sandwiched between a liquid-permeable topsheet and a liquid-impermeable backsheet. The article comprises front, back and crotch portions. The absorbent core comprises an absorbent component having a width in the transversal direction and the absorbent component is enclosed by a core cover comprising an upper side and a lower side. Two channel sealings extend along the longitudinal axis in the crotch portion for joining the upper and lower side of the core cover. A core cover, which is arranged around the absorbent component, defines and limits an expansion space for the centre segment so that the centre segment is prevented from reaching complete expansion to the second volume on wetting, and the ratio of the first width of the centre segment and the width of the absorbent component, in dry condition, is 0.25-0.45.
