Front or rear opening closed-sided absorbent articles
Absorbent articles with front and rear opening features are disclosed. An article may comprise an absorbent insert comprising an outer cover, a liner, and an absorbent core between the outer cover and the liner, a first waist panel coupled to the insert and comprising a weakened region and first waist band portion and first chassis portion, the first waist band portion and first chassis portion comprising elastic elements, and a second waist panel. The first waist panel may be bonded to the second along side edges of the article. One of the elastic elements of the first waistband portion may be spaced laterally from a second one forming a waistband non-elasticized region laterally between the first one of the elastic elements and the second one of the elastic elements, and the weakened region may extend at least partially through the waistband non-elasticized region.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article is provided, which effectively utilizes the entire absorber by quickly diffusing a body fluid, and reduces discomfort in a wearer by suppressing unpleasant dampness and twisting after absorption of the body fluid. An absorbent article of the present invention includes a liquid permeable top surface sheet, a liquid impermeable back surface sheet, and an absorber disposed between the top surface sheet and the back surface sheet. A top surface sheet side of the absorbent article is provided with extending a plurality of compressed lines in each of which a plurality of recess portions formed by compressing the top surface sheet and the absorber are arranged. The plurality of compressed lines form intersection regions where the compressed lines intersect with each other. The compressed recess portions are not formed in the intersection regions.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article according to the present invention having a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorber disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet includes a first recessed portion configured in a top surface of the absorber facing the top sheet and extending along a first direction and a second recessed portion configured in the top surface of the absorber facing the top sheet so as to intersect the first recessed portion, the second recessed portion extending along a second direction different from the first direction. The first recessed portion and the second recessed portion each have a first area having a shallow depth from the top surface of the absorber to a bottom surface of the first area and a second area having a deeper depth than the first area.
Absorbent core layer and absorbent personal care article containing such layer
An absorbent core layer (18) for absorbing and retaining body exudate includes a first longitudinally directed end region (25), a second opposing longitudinally directed end region (26), and a middle region (22) positioned between the end regions. The middle region (22) includes a first embossing pattern and has a first thickness. The first longitudinally directed end region (25) and second opposing longitudinally directed end region (26) each include a second embossing pattern different from the first embossing pattern, and also having apertures. The end regions (25, 26) each have a second thickness, the second thickness being less than the first thickness.

The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article comprising a liquid management system (LMS) and an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate a topsheet and a backsheet. The LMS defines one or more channels therein. The one or more channels of the LMS may at least partially overlap or not overlap with channels defined in the absorbent core.
Absorbent articles having channel-forming areas and wetness indicator
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent core having at least two longitudinally extending channel-forming areas and a wetness indicator. The core wrap comprises a top side and a bottom side, which are attached to each other through areas substantially free of absorbent material, so that when the absorbent material swells upon absorption of a liquid the core wrap forms channels along these areas substantially free of absorbent material. The wetness indicator is placed between the channel-forming areas or between at least one channel-forming area and at least one longitudinally extending side edge of the article, as seen for the exterior of the article.
Disposable hygiene article with improved fit
The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising first and second compression lines in a forward region of the article. The article has a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the crotch portion comprises the first and second compression lines, which are separated from each other at their closest point by a minimum distance D1, measured in the transverse direction.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article includes a concave groove whose transverse plane shape satisfies (1) a relationship between a depth “h” of a bottom surface portion of the concave groove, and a distance “S” from a bottom end “G” of the concave groove to an upper end “K” from which a concavity of the concave groove starts is 1.5h<S, (2) a relationship between a width “b” of a bottom surface of the concave groove, and a width “B” between the upper ends “K” and “K” at both sides of the concave groove is B≧3b, and (3) a relationship between a dimension “a” of a square concave groove expressed by a product of the width “b” of the bottom surface of the concave groove and the depth “h” of the bottom surface portion, and a cross-sectional dimension “A” of the concave groove is A≧2a.
