An absorbent article including a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core sandwiched between the topsheet and the backsheet, the article being arranged along a longitudinal axis and a transversal axis extending in a perpendicular direction in relation to the longitudinal axis and the main article defining a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion, wherein the absorbent core is formed with a sealing arrangement including two channel sealings extending along the longitudinal axis in the crotch portion and defining a first effective channel sealing width and a second effective channel sealing width, respectively. The sealing arrangement includes two side seams extending along two side edges of the core, the side seams defining a third and fourth effective width, respectively, along the crotch portion and defining a fifth and sixth effective width, respectively, along the front portion and back portion.

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising first and second compression lines in a forward region of the article. The article has a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the crotch portion comprises the first and second compression lines, which are separated from each other at their closest point by a minimum distance D1, measured in the transverse direction.

On a skin-contact surface on a front-surface side of a sanitary napkin 1, in a plan view, a concave low compression part 10 obtained by denting, from a skin-contact surface side, a closed region part partitioned by an inside curve 12 formed of a curved line swelling on a front end side of the sanitary napkin 1, and an outside curve 13 that is located on a front end side than the inside curve 12, is formed of a curved line swelling on a front end side of the sanitary napkin 1 and has both ends that are connected respectively to the both ends of the inside curve 12 is formed. The present invention relates to an absorbent core for sanitary products with an absorption matrix which comprises a high proportion of super-absorbing particles, and an absorbent core cover for enveloping the absorption matrix, wherein the absorbent core cover comprises at least one upper side sheet and one bottom side sheet, and the absorbent core cover comprises at least one connection region spaced apart from the edge of the absorbent core in which the upper side sheet and the bottom side sheet are connected to each other. Here, at least the upper side sheet of the absorbent core cover is embodied as a fleece composite with a fixing layer with a low permeability to retain the particles in the absorption matrix, and a transfer layer for acquiring fluid. Moreover, the invention relates to a sanitary product having such an absorbent core, the use of a fleece composite as an absorbent core cover, and a method for manufacturing a fleece composite for the upper side sheet of the absorbent core cover.

A feminine hygiene article comprising: a liquid permeable topsheet; a secondary topsheet beneath the topsheet, having a secondary topsheet length measured along a longitudinal direction; a liquid impermeable backsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and an absorbent core disposed between the secondary topsheet and the backsheet, the absorbent core having a pair of substantially parallel and substantially straight longitudinal side edges, the side edges terminating at respective forward intersections with a projection of the absorbent core, the side edges terminating at respective rearward intersections with a rearward recess of the absorbent core, and a total core length measured along the longitudinal direction at the forwardmost and rearward most points of the absorbent core, wherein: the total core length is less than the secondary topsheet length; a forward portion of the secondary topsheet length forwardly overhangs the forward projection; a rearward portion of the secondary topsheet length rearwardly overhangs the rearward recess; the total core length as measured at the forwardmost and rearward most points of the absorbent core is from about 75% to about 99% of the secondary topsheet length as measured at the forwardmost and rearward most points of the secondary topsheet; and the forward projection and the rearward recess are substantially complementary in size and shape. When folded the feminine hygiene article has an absorbent core 18 which does not substantially overlap at the forewardmost extent of the absorbent core, which includes the projection, and rearwardmost extent of the absorbent core, which includes the recess, such that the overall folded thickness of the feminine hygiene article is minimized.
