In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned between the topsheet layer and the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a first component which defines an opening for direct passage of body exudates into the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a second component which at least partially overlaps the first component of the exudate management layer and further extends in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article in a direction towards the posterior region of the absorbent article.
Absorbent product
In an absorbent product (1), a first absorbent sheet (22) is disposed between a top sheet (21) and a back sheet (23). A second absorbent sheet (22a) is disposed between the first absorbent sheet (22) and the back sheet (23). The first absorbent sheet (22) includes a first upper sheet (221), a first highly absorbent material (222), and a first lower sheet (223). The first absorbent sheet (22) extends in the longitudinal direction beyond the longitudinal edges of the second absorbent sheet (22a) on both longitudinal sides. On each longitudinal side, an extension (224) of the first absorbent sheet (22) beyond the second absorbent sheet (22a) includes a back-sheet contact region (225) that is spaced in the longitudinal direction from the longitudinal edge of the second absorbent sheet (22a) and that is in contact with the back sheet (23). This configuration suppresses the return of liquid.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES
The present invention relates to a thin, flexible absorbent articles comprising an acquisition-distribution system comprises a first component comprising first thermoplastic fibers and cellulose fibers, the cellulose fibers being less than about 90% by weight of the first component, wherein the absorbent article has an absorption time lower than about 7 sec/g up to a loading range of 100 g, as measured according to Modified Fluid Modified Fluid Acquisition Test; and wherein the absorbent article has a caliper of lower than about 2.5 mm under about 400 g pressure at 2 cm.sup.2, as measured according to Caliper Test, or a 3-point bending force lower than about 95 g, as measured according to the 3-Point Bending Force Test.
ABSORBENT CORE WITH PROFILED DISTRIBUTION OF ABSORBENT MATERIAL
An absorbent core for absorbent articles such as diapers comprising a core wrap comprising a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material between the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap, a first and second longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis and substantially free of absorbent material preferably through which the top side of the core wrap is preferably attached to the bottom side of the core wrap. The core has a central absorbent zone between the first and the second channel-forming areas and a first and second lateral absorbent zones disposed laterally outwardly. The basis weight of the absorbent material in the central absorbent zone is higher than the basis weight of the absorbent material in each of the lateral absorbent zones for at least a first transversal section (S1). This relation is inverted along a second transversal section (S2) of the core. The first and second sections have each a length in the longitudinal direction of at least 10 mm.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN EXUDATE MANAGEMENT LAYER FOR USE IN AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a liquid impermeable layer, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet layer and the liquid impermeable layer. The absorbent article can further include an exudate management layer in fluid communication with the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned on a body facing surface of the topsheet layer.
Unitary absorbent structures comprising an absorbent core and/or an acquisition and dispersion layer for absorbent articles
The present invention relates to a unitary absorbent structure and method thereof wherein said unitary absorbent structure comprises an absorbent core (5) and/or an acquisition and dispersion layers (2) (3) and comprising at least one non-woven fibrous substrate layer (23) having a void volume suitable to be penetrated by super absorbent particles. The super absorbent particles are dispersed in the substrate layer (23) according to a size distribution gradient by vacuum (8) and vibration along the depth direction or z-direction of said absorbent core (5) and/or acquisition (2) and dispersion (3) layers, the smaller particles are placed on the bodyside of the absorbent articles and the larger particles are located on the opposite side of the absorbent articles.
