Absorbent article with high absorbent material content
An absorbent article includes a longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core includes a combination of superabsorbent polymer and cellulose fibers. The article further includes an acquisition-distribution layer; and at least one channel positioned within a layer located between the topsheet and the backsheet, the at least one channel being substantially free of fibers and superabsorbent polymer. An indentation occurs in at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet that correspond to the at least one channels when the article is loaded with fluid.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH CHANNEL
An absorbent article which can have an improved body exudate intake capability. The absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a backsheet layer, and an absorbent system positioned between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer. The absorbent system can have at least a fluid intake layer and an absorbent core. The fluid intake layer and the absorbent core can together define an aligned channel in the absorbent system. The aligned channel can create a void space in the depth direction of the absorbent article wherein at least a portion of the topsheet layer can be maintained in a spaced apart relationship from the bottom of the aligned channel.
ABSORBENT PRODUCT COMPRISING FOAM MATERIAL
Absorbent product includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core enclosed between the topsheet and the backsheet, wherein the absorbent core includes a liquid inlet foam material located closest to the liquid pervious topsheet and an absorbent fibrous layer located closest to the impervious backsheet. The liquid inlet foam material has in the transversal direction of the absorbent product two edge regions and one central region located between the edge regions. The central region has a plurality of openings formed from a plurality of slits extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent product and that openings have been formed from the slits by expanding the continuous liquid inlet foam material in the transversal direction of the product, and that each edge region of the liquid inlet foam material has a width that is at least 5.0 mm and is free from openings.
Absorbent article comprising a lower acquisition and distribution system
An absorbent article comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and a layer of absorbent material interposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, wherein the layer of absorbent material (28) comprises superabsorbent polymer. The absorbent article further comprises a lower acquisition and distribution system with at least one nonwoven or woven layer, the lower acquisition and distribution system being interposed between the layer of absorbent material and the backsheet. The absorbent article has a first zone corresponding to 800 ?m starting from and including the topsheet and extending towards the backsheet, and a second zone corresponding to 800 ?m starting from and including the backsheet and extending towards the topsheet. The amount of liquid in the first and second zone is very small as measured by the NMR test method set out herein.
ACTIVATED COMPOSITE WEB FOR ABSORPTIVE DEVICES
An activated composite web includes a nonwoven layer, and a formed film layer attached to the nonwoven layer. The formed film layer includes a plurality of first apertured protuberances having a mesh count of at least 35, and a plurality of second apertured protuberances. Each of the second apertured protuberances has a cross-sectional area larger than each of the first apertured protuberances. A plurality of first lanes are aligned in a first direction and have a first width extending in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The first apertured protuberances are located in the first lanes. A plurality of second lanes are aligned in the first direction and have a second width, less than the first width, extending in the second direction. The first lanes and the second lanes alternate with each other in the second direction. The second apertured protuberances are located in the second lanes.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH HIGH ABSORBENT MATERIAL CONTENT
An absorbent article comprising a pair of leg cuffs with an raised section and an absorbent core comprising at least one channel at least partially oriented in the longitudinal direction of the article. The article may have a crotch width before use as measured between the proximal edges of the leg cuffs at the level of the crotch point of from to 70 mm to 200 mm, and a Relative Crotch Width Reduction (RCWR) of 32 mm/kg to 150 mm/kg.
Absorbent article with high absorbent material content
An absorbent article comprising a pair of leg cuffs (32) with an raised section (34) and an absorbent core (28) comprising at least one channel (26, 26) at least partially oriented in the longitudinal direction (80) of the article. The article has crotch width (Wd) before use as measured between the proximal edges of the leg cuffs at the level of the crotch point of from to 70 mm to 200 mm, and a Relative Crotch Width Reduction (RCWR) of at least 30 mm/kg.
Absorbent liquid measurement article
A liquid measurement article includes an absorbent wicking layer and a marking cluster having at least one mark whose location on the article is calibrated to correspond to a particular quantity of liquid having been deposited on the article at a liquid receiving site thereof and having wicked toward the mark. A label associated with at least one of the marks indicates the particular quantity.
Expandable absorbent core and method of manufacture
An expandable absorbent structure comprises an expansion loop core configured to expand in response to absorption of a liquid and an expansion loop material structure surrounding the expansion loop core and having a trough therein, wherein the trough is formed from a first portion of the expansion loop material structure folded over a second portion of the expansion loop material structure at a first elbow of the expansion loop material structure. In response to an increase in size of the expansion loop core, the expansion loop core presses against the expansion loop material structure to cause a length of the trough to decrease.
