ABSORBENT ARTICLE PACKAGED IN A MATERIAL COMPRISING NATURAL FIBERS
This invention relates to an individually packaged absorbent article provided in a folded configuration and comprising a wrapper releasably affixed to the absorbent article, where the wrapper includes a material including natural fibers.
MULTI-COMPARTMENT PACKAGE FOR FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS
A multi-compartment package (MCP) for feminine hygiene products is disclosed. The MCP may be configured to provide both a feminine hygiene pad and a sanitary wipe in the same package. The MCP may be opened to reveal respective internal compartments for the feminine hygiene pad and a sanitary wipe. These compartments may be separated by way of a compartment divider. Such a configuration may keep a feminine hygiene pad in a desired dry state while still providing a moistened sanitary wipe. An MCP may alleviate the necessity of carrying separate containers for each type of product, instead providing both in a single form factor.
PACKAGING UNIT FOR A DISPOSABLE HYGIENE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE PACKAGING UNIT
A packaging unit includes a sheet of packaging material and a disposable hygiene article extending in a longitudinal direction of the elongated sheet and placed on the inner surface of the sheet such that it fits within an area limited by side edge zones and a first longitudinal end zone. The unit is formed by folding the elongated sheet and the disposable hygiene article. The first longitudinal end zone includes at least two adjacent, in the direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the elongated sheet, resealable adhesive coating strings that extend along the length of the first longitudinal end zone and the strings are arranged such that a central adhesive free area is formed. This adhesive area functions as a gripping gap. A method of forming the packaging unit is also described.
INDIVIDUAL PACKAGE FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An individual package for an absorbent article is provided with the absorbent article and a wrapping body containing the absorbent article. The absorbent article has a main body extending in a longitudinal direction and a pair of flaps extending from the main body in opposite directions along the longitudinal direction. Each of the main body and the pair of flaps has a fixing section and the main body and the pair of flaps are fixed to the same face of the wrapping body with the fixing sections interposed therebetween. The wrapping body is provided with a pair of bonding regions bonding the wrapping body, the bonding regions being located outward in the widthwise direction and each having a bonding section and a non-bonding section. The fixing sections of the pair of flaps and the non-bonding sections overlap in the widthwise direction.
Multi function wrapper
A packing wrapper for an absorbent article, the wrapper having a protective layer. The wrapper also has a first functional layer attached to the protective layer giving the wrapper a multiple functionality.
Packaging unit for hygiene articles and a method of forming a packaging unit
A packaging unit for hygiene articles that is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface comprises an edge zone comprising an inner edge portion and an outer edge portion. At least one of the outer and inner edge portions comprises at least one region provided with a resealable adhesive. The sheet has at least one folding axis dividing said sheet into a first and second regions region. The sheet is folded about said at least one folding axis with said first and second regions in an overlapping configuration, thereby providing a packaging unit. Overlapping outer edge portions of the sheet layers are at least partly adhesive-free and are at least partially connected to each other by a mechanical interaction providing a sealing strength of 0.2 to 1.5 N. A method for forming the packaging unit is provided.
Individual Packaging for and Absorbent Article
The present invention relates to a package for an absorbent article with a permeable topsheet and an impermeable backsheet. The package comprises a flexible gas impermeable sheet on which the absorbent article is arranged such that the impermeable backsheet of the absorbent article is arranged on the flexible sheet. The flexible sheet is bent by describing a first section, a second section and a third section, the first section being folded over the second section such that upon folding of the absorbent article, the topsheet is arranged on itself, and the third section is folded over the first section. The longitudinal edges of the folded flexible sheet are sealed continuously by heat sealing, and the transverse edge is sealed continuously by adhesive seal.
Method for forming a wrapping sheet having improved sealing
A method for forming a wrapping material for hygiene articles involves: providing one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region with a first resealable adhesive, such that the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is adhesive-free; providing one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region with a first resealable adhesive, such that the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is adhesive-free; and providing at least one of the first central portion of the first region and the second central portion of the second region with a second adhesive; wherein the steps a-c are performed simultaneously.
A PACKAGING UNIT HAVING IMPROVED SEALING AND A USER PROMPTING DEVICE, AND A METHOD FOR FORMING SUCH A PACKAGING UNIT
The present disclosure provides a packaging unit for hygiene articles and a method for forming such a unit. The packaging unit has a first packaging function as a packaging wrap for a non-used article, and a second disposal function as a disposal wrap for a used article. The packaging unit further comprises a user prompting device having a wrap-facing surface and a user-facing surface, wherein the user prompting device is permanently attached to the wrap such that at least a portion of the wrap-facing surface of the user prompting device is in contact with the inner surface of the wrap. The user prompting device is arranged to prompt the user to employ the second disposal function of the packaging unit.
