Absorbent Article Package with Reduced Noise
A package that contains a wrapper material that defines an interior cavity within which an absorbent article is removably positioned is provided. The wrapper material is formed from a film that includes a polymer composition containing at least one ethylene polymer and at least one nanofiller. The present inventors have discovered that through selective control over the particular type and concentration of these components, as well as the manner in which it is formed, the resulting package may generate a relatively low degree of noise when physically deformed.
Apparatus and method to dispense feminine hygiene products using a motion sensor
A dispenser of feminine hygiene products, including feminine pads and tampons activated by a motion sensor. A motion of a person's hand or other object within a given distance from the motion sensor will close an electronic circuit causing a motor to rotate. The motor is attached to a shaft which rotates. The shaft retains a feminine product dispenser. The feminine product dispenser transports one of the feminine hygiene products to a retrieval tray. A time delay reduces the likelihood of or prevents someone from continuously activating the motion sensor to dispense all of the products in the machine.
PACKAGED BODY ADHERING ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A packaged feminine care absorbent article includes an absorbent article with an absorbent structure and a shell. The absorbent structure is configured for disposition adjacent a female wearer's vaginal region to absorb bodily fluids discharged by the wearer. The shell is configured for supporting the absorbent structure at the vaginal region. The shell has a liquid-impermeable layer, a body-facing surface, and a garment-facing surface. The body-facing surface has an adhesive thereon for adhering the shell directly to the wearer and the absorbent structure is attached directly to the garment-facing surface of the shell. The absorbent article is configurable between a before use packaged configuration and a use configuration. The absorbent structure is folded longitudinally about at least two transverse fold lines and a portion of the shell overlies a portion of the absorbent structure in the packaged configuration.
EFFICIENTLY MANUFACTURED POLYHEDRON CONTAINER ADAPTED FOR DISPLAY OF CONTENTS THROUGH PLURALITY OF ADJACENT OUTER PANELS
A container including an assembled combination of opaque paperboard and substantially transparent polymer sheet is disclosed. The containing may have a convex polyhedron shape and include at least a first group of three substantially flat mutually adjacent outer panels, wherein the first group of mutually adjacent outer panels share at least a first substantially transparent window that is present on and extends continuously and wraps from a first of the first group of panels, to a second of the first group of panels, to a third of the first group of panels, the first window being defined by a first window cutout through the paperboard, and the first window being occupied by a continuous section of the polymer sheet present and at least partially forming each of the first group of panels. The container may be a retail package.
Absorbent article package with enhanced opening and recloseability
A package containing a stack of folded disposable absorbent articles, the package being formed of flexible polymeric film, and having a path of perforations or scoring defining a hood opening structure, is disclosed. The hood opening structure may be configured to open proximate the fold noses of the articles for easy tactile identification, grasping and withdrawal of individual ones thereof, and may be configured so as to serve as an effective package reclosure device whereby the package may be used to store the unused supply of articles following opening. The package, and printed commercial artwork and product information on the package surfaces, may be configured such that the fold noses are disposed at the apparent bottom of the package, for improved standing stability when the package is shelved.
Individually packaged absorbent article, absorbent article, and method for folding absorbent article
An individually-packaged absorbent article or an absorbent article. The absorbent article (1) includes a hip-hold portion (H) that includes a side area (10) protruding from a rear side-edge of a body (8). The side area (10) includes a first protruding portion (21) that includes a portion having a largest width from a longitudinal centerline (CL) of the body (8), a first recessed portion (31) adjacent to the rear end of the first protruding portion (21), and a second recessed portion (32) adjacent to the front end of the first protruding portion (21). The absorbent article (1) is folded such that a mountain fold line (Y) is formed in the side area (10) of the hip-hold portion (H), and the mountain fold line (Y) intersects with an edge of the side area (10) of the hip-hold portion (H) at a position between a first inflection point (F1) between the first recessed portion (31) and the first protruding portion (21) and a second inflection point (F2) between the first protruding portion (21) and the second recessed portion (32), and is substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal centerline (CL).
FOLDED ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND INDIVIDUAL ABSORBENT ARTICLE PACKAGE
A folded absorbent article, wherein: the absorbent article (1) comprises a top sheet (2), a back sheet (3) and an absorbent body (4) provided therebetween; the absorbent article (1) is folded in three in the front-rear direction with a skin facing side inside so that a front part (11) and a rear part (13) overlap with a middle part (12); the absorbent body (4) is provided so as to extend from the middle part (12) to the front part (11) and the rear part (13); and an anti-slipping member (7) is provided in the middle part (12) so as to overlap with the absorbent body (4) and attaching-fixing members (8) made of a hook member or an adhesive layer are provided in the front part (11) and the rear part (13) on a non-skin facing side of the back sheet (4).
Method and apparatus for flexibly assembling packages of absorbent articles
Apparatuses and methods herein may be configured to utilize existing high speed assembly lines with dedicated packaging apparatuses to assemble various kinds of packages of absorbent articles. Absorbent articles advancing from an assembly line are diverted before reaching a dedicated packaging apparatus. The diverted absorbent articles are transported to a selectable packaging apparatus to be placed in containers containing desired quantities and/or types of absorbent articles to create select packages. Carriers are movably connected with a track, wherein a linear synchronous motor independently moves the carriers along the track. Diverted absorbent articles are transferred to a carrier in a receiving zone, and the diverted absorbent articles are moved along the track from the receiving zone to a drop off zone. The diverted absorbent articles are then transferred from the carrier in the drop off zone to a selectable packaging apparatus.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO DISPENSE SANITARY HYGIENE PRODUCTS
A dispenser of hygiene products, including feminine pads and tampons activated by a motion sensor. A motion of a person's hand or other object within a given distance from the motion sensor will close an electronic circuit causing a motor to rotate. The motor is attached to a shaft which rotates. The shaft retains a product dispenser. The product dispenser transports one of the hygiene products to a retrieval tray. A time delay reduces the likelihood of or prevents someone from continuously activating the motion sensor to dispense all of the products in the machine.
