Absorbent article package with reduced noise
A package that contains a wrapper material that defines an interior cavity within which an absorbent article is removably positioned is provided. The wrapper material is formed from a film that includes a polymer composition containing at least one ethylene polymer and at least one nanofiller. The present inventors have discovered that through selective control over the particular type and concentration of these components, as well as the manner in which it is formed, the resulting package may generate a relatively low degree of noise when physically deformed.
A PACKAGING UNIT FOR HYGIENE ARTICLES
A packaging unit for hygiene articles and a method for producing the same. The packaging unit is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface has an edge zone. The sheet has at least one folding axis and the folding axis divides the sheet into a first region and a second region. The sheet may be folded along the folding axes with the first and second regions in an overlapping configuration, and at least a part of the edge zone is provided with microencapsulated adhesive.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE PACKAGING AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE PACKAGING
Disclosed is an individual package (100) of a napkin (101) having a longitudinal direction (x1) corresponding to the wearer's front-rear direction and a lateral direction (y1) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, the napkin (101) including a topsheet (102), a backsheet (103), and an absorbent core (110) arranged between the two sheets (102, 103), the napkin being packaged in a folded-up state. The napkin (101) is folded up in the longitudinal direction (x1) of the napkin (101), with the topsheet (102) on the inside, along a first folded/bent portion (IP1) and a second folded/bent portion (IP2) that extend in the lateral direction (y1) of the napkin (101). The absorbent core (110) includes a plurality of sheet fragments (10bh) including synthetic fibers (10b), and the sheet fragments (10bh) are provided at least on the topsheet (102) side in a thickness direction of the absorbent core (110).
ULTRATHIN ABSORBENT HYGIENIC PADS
Ultrathin absorbent hygienic pads comprising a top layer, a middle absorbent layer, and a bottom layer and comprising one or more channels anchored from the top layer through the middle absorbent layer and into the bottom layer are provided. The ultrathin absorbent hygienic pads provided can be used to absorb bodily fluids.
Absorbent article with a concave groove
A absorbent article has a concave groove that satisfies (1) a relationship between a depth h of a bottom surface portion of the concave groove, and a distance S from a bottom end G of the concave groove to an upper end K from which a concavity of the concave groove starts is 1.5h<S, (2) a relationship between a width b of a bottom surface of the concave groove, and a width B of a liquid collection area expressed by a distance between the upper ends K and K at both sides of the concave groove is B3b, and (3) a relationship between a dimension a of a square concave groove expressed by a product of the width b of the bottom surface and the depth h of the bottom surface, and a cross-sectional dimension A of the concave groove is A2a.
A PACKAGING UNIT FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PACKAGING UNIT
A packaging unit for an absorbent article is formed from a sheet of material and includes a longitudinal center line, a transversal center line, a first longitudinal edge zone, a second longitudinal edge zone, a first transversal edge zone and a second transversal edge zone. At least one of the first longitudinal edge zone, the second longitudinal edge zone, the first transversal edge zone or the second transversal edge zone includes at least one zone provided with surface protrusions integrally formed from the material of the sheet of material. The sheet of material includes at least one landing zone able to engage with the surface protrusions to provide a fastening mechanism when said sheet of material is rolled or folded. A method of manufacturing a packaging unit and a method to close a packaging unit holding an absorbent article are also disclosed.
Continuous Strips of Sanitary Napkins on a Roll
A strip having a weakened region that defines first and second segments on either side thereof. The first and second segments include corresponding first and second sanitary napkins.
Methods and Apparatus for a Dual-Use Disposable Sanitary Garment
An apparatus for a dual-use disposable sanitary garment according to various aspects of the present technology include an absorbent layer coupled to a wearable garment. The wearable garment is folded inward and sealed within a pouch portion adjacent to the absorbent layer. The wearable garment is enclosed within the pouch portion by a removable adhesive layer that is configured to either be kept in place allowing the entire garment to be used as a commonly known sanitary napkin or the adhesive can be removed thereby allowing the wearable garment to be unfolded and worn. The entire sanitary garment may then be disposed after use.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A folded absorbent article including a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core including at least two core layers located between the topsheet and the backsheet, an upper core layer and one or more underlying core layer(s). The upper core layer is located between the topsheet and the one or more underlying core layer(s) and the topsheet and the backsheet extend together laterally outside the absorbent core. The absorbent core has a transversal width of a transition between a front portion and an intermediate portion of the core that is narrower than a transversal width of the rest of the core. A first end portion of the article is folded about a first transversal fold line over a central area of the article, the first fold line coinciding with or being adjacent the narrow transversal transition between the front portion and the intermediate portion of the core.
Feminine hygiene products and apparatus and methods for making disposable products
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for increasing the number of articles processed. over a distance traveled in the machine direction of an assembly line. In particular, the orientation of the long dimension of the article is provided transverse to the machine direction, thus process rug the articles side-by-side instead of end-to-end.
