The secondary fastening system includes a secondary second fastening component located on each of the ears and a corresponding secondary first fastening component located on the outer surface of the article at a first waist portion. A ΔE value calculated using the Color Contrast Test between the secondary first fastening components uncovered by the ears and the outer cover being greater than 20.

An elastic panel for use in an absorbent article including a first nonwoven web layer, a second nonwoven web layer and an elastomeric film layer disposed between the first and second nonwoven layers. At least one of the first and second nonwoven web layers includes at least one group of folded portions. Each folded portion includes a first fold line and a second fold line so that the folded portion is divided into a proximal section, a distal section and a medial section disposed between the proximal and distal sections. The proximal section is directly attached to the elastomeric film layer and the medial and distal sections are not directly attached to the elastomeric film layer so that the folded portions extend to allow the web panel to stretch elastically.

A taped absorbent article 20 comprising a crotch channel 26 having a crotch channel bond strength, and a front channel 56 having no bond or a front channel bond strength which is weaker than the crotch channel bond strength. The front channel is at least partially superposed with the landing zone 44 on which the back ear tapes 42 can be releasably fastened. During use, the front channel can delaminate to relieve stress on the landing zone and avoid accidental detachment of the tapes 42.

An absorbent article comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core comprising an absorbent material and a core wrap is provided. The core comprises at least one channel-forming area that is substantially free of absorbent material. The absorbent article comprises a masking layer between the bottom side of the core wrap and the backsheet. The masking layer and the bottom side of the core wrap are only partially bonded to each other at their interface, the interface thus comprising a bonded portion and an unbonded portion, wherein the channel-forming area at least partially corresponds to the unbonded portion of the interface, so that when the absorbent material swells, the masking layer can decouple from the three-dimensional channels.

The diaper may include a backsheet including an effectively urine- and feces-impermeable material; a transverse perineal barrier including an effectively urine- and feces-impermeable material and having a proximal portion overlying the backsheet and sealingly connected to the diaper, and a free distal edge; and a liquid control structure disposed over the backsheet. The diaper may include additional features configured to receive a discharge of urine, isolate fecal material from urine, and facilitate collection of an intact stool sample following elimination.

Configurable absorbent articles

Configurable absorbent articles are provided. The absorbent articles may comprise a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent articles may comprise a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region extending intermediate the first waist region and the second waist region, and an outer cover material joined to the backsheet and forming a portion of a garment-facing surface of the absorbent article. The absorbent articles may comprise a pair of leg cuffs and a fully removable fastening member. The fastening member may comprise a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and positioned proximate to a first end and a second fastener on the first surface and positioned proximate to a second end. The absorbent articles may also comprise a wetness guard.

An absorbent article includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a fully removable fastening member configured to join a portion of the first waist region to the second waist region. The fastening member includes a first end region comprising a first end, a second end region comprising a second end, a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and in the first end region, and a second fastener on the first surface and in the second end region. The fastening member includes a grasp region either partially laterally outboard of the first fastener or laterally outboard of the first fastener in the first end region. The grasp region has a different physical property than a remainder of the fastening member.

In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise three or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a second absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a first absorbent article. And the Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a third absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a second absorbent article. And, an Array Average Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of first and second packages of the array may be from about 1.1 to about 0.3. Further, an Array Average Product-Hip-to-Side Silhouette may be from about 1.0 to about 1.7.
