LENGTH-TO-WAIST AND HIP-TO-SIDE SILHOUETTES OF ADULT DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES AND ARRAYS
In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise three or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a second absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a first absorbent article. And the Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a third absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a second absorbent article. And, an Array Average Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of first and second packages of the array may be from about 1.1 to about 0.3. Further, an Array Average Product-Hip-to-Side Silhouette may be from about 1.0 to about 1.7
DISPOSABLE DIAPER
A disposable diaper has, in a dorsal section of the outer sheet, a fastening tape extending orthogonally to a dorsoventral direction. The fastening tape includes: a base portion on the outer sheet; a main unit section on a distal end of the base portion; and an engagement portion on a distal end of the main unit section. A dorsal end edge of the main unit section is continuous with a dorsal end edge of the engagement portion, and a ventral end edge of the main unit section is continuous with a ventral end edge of the engagement portion. The fastening tape has a slit portion formed in an extending direction. The main unit section has elastically stretchable members formed in the extending direction at intervals in a dorsoventral direction. A ventral portion and a dorsal portion in the engagement portion extend more distally than a central portion thereof.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH WAISTBAND
A disposable absorbent article is disclosed that includes a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region disposed between the first waist region and second waist region, a waist edge in the first waist region, at least one waistband in the first waist region, at least one fastener in the second waist region, and at least one discrete landing zone in the first waist region, the discrete landing zone comprising an lateral inboard edge, wherein the discrete landing zone and the waistband overlap to form an overlap region in the first waist region, and wherein the waistband does not overlap the lateral inboard edge of the discrete landing zone.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING
The present invention relates to absorbent articles comprising an absorbent core wherein absorbent material is contained within at least one core wrap substrate enclosing said absorbent material, and wherein a top layer of said core wrap is bonded via a hot melt adhesive to a bottom layer of said core wrap at one or more attachment zones to form one or more channels substantially free of absorbent material. The hot melt adhesive is selected from the group consisting of rubber-based adhesives, adhesives having a viscosity of at least 5500 mPa.Math.s at 150 C. and rubber-based adhesives having a viscosity of at least 5500 mPa.Math.s at 150 C. This may provide exceptionally strong bonding and excellent stability within the channel(s), even in wet state.
LOW-WEIGHT INFANT DIAPER
A low-weight infant diaper has a longitudinal direction and a width direction that intersect each other. The low-weight infant diaper includes: an exterior sheet disposed closer to a non-skin side than an absorbent body; and a belt including a first locking member on a first side in the width direction and a second locking member on a second side opposite to the first side in the width direction. The belt is locked to a non-skin side of the exterior sheet by the first locking member. The belt includes a first additional joining portion that causes a part of the belt to join the exterior sheet. The first additional joining portion is disposed in a region in the first side.
