The present invention provides a nocturnal enuresis treatment device 1 including a sensor 10 for detecting urination; one or more stimulation pads 20 constituted to impart a stimulus to a wearer; and a mechanical portion 30 including the following: (i) a stimulus generation unit 31 for generating a signal for causing the stimulation pads 20 to impart the stimulus to the wearer, and (ii) a control unit 32 for generating a signal for causing the stimulus generation unit 31 to generate the stimulus in response to urination detection by the sensor.
Incontinence Detection System and Detectors
An incontinence detector includes a layer of material having uniformly distributed electrically resistive elements which impart a baseline electrical resistance to the layer. The layer also has an actual electrical resistance. The detector also includes an RFID tag having a first and second leads which extend into the material without contacting each other. The tag is responsive to deviations of the actual resistance from the baseline resistance.

Disclosed embodiments relate to apparatuses and methods for wound treatment. In some embodiments, a wound dressing apparatus can comprise a wound contact layer, a first area and a second area over the wound contact layer, and a cover layer configured to cover the wound contact layer, the first area, and the second area. The first area can comprise a spacer layer and an absorbent layer over the spacer layer. The second area can comprise an electronics cassette or cradle comprising a negative pressure source and/or electronic components.
SENSING DEVICE AND CHARGING SYSTEM
This disclosure relates to a combination of a sensing device and a charging system. The sensing device is configured to be applied to a surface of an absorbent article for sensing a characteristic of moisture in the absorbent article, and it is configured such that a transmitter for transmitting data from the sensing device is attached or attachable to the sensing device. The charging system is configured to charge a transmitter battery, and it is configured such that a transmitter, which is attached or attachable to the sensing device, is also attachable to the charging device.
Wound dressing with electrode multiplexing and related methods
A wound dressing is disclosed. A wound dressing comprises a first adhesive layer, an electrode assembly, a monitor interface and a multiplexer. The first adhesive layer comprises a proximal surface configured for attachment of the wound dressing to a skin surface of a user. The electrode assembly comprises a plurality of electrodes including a first set of first electrodes. The monitor interface is configured to form a mechanical and electrical connection with a monitor device. The monitor interface comprises a coupling part and a plurality of terminals including a first terminal. The multiplexer comprises a number of N input pins and a number of M output pins. The N input pins include a first set of first input pins for connection to first electrodes of the first set of first electrodes, the first set of first pins including a first primary input pin and a first secondary input pin, and the M output pins include a first output pin. The first primary input pin is connected to a first primary electrode of the first set of first electrodes and the first secondary input pin is connected to a first secondary electrode of the first set of first electrodes, and the first output pin is connected to the first terminal of the monitor interface. The multiplexer is configured to connect the first primary input pin to the first output pin in a first multiplexer configuration and to connect the first secondary input pin to the first output pin in a second multiplexer configuration.

A sensor is included to detect moisture on the patient and/or the patient support apparatus. The sensor produces signals indicative of the presence of moisture on the patient support apparatus. One or more alerts are output in response to the signals provided by the sensor to notify a caregiver of the presence of moisture on the patient support apparatus.
