Person support apparatuses with selectively coupled foot sections
Person support apparatuses with selectively coupled foot sections are disclosed. In one embodiment, the person support apparatus includes a base frame, a primary support frame supported on the base frame, and a foot section coupled to the primary support frame. The person support apparatus also includes a carriage that is freely translatable between a head end of the primary support frame and a foot end of the primary support frame, the carriage comprising a torso portion and a seat portion having a thigh segment and a gluteal segment. The person support apparatus further includes a selectable trunnion that selectively and severally couples the foot section to the primary support frame and the thigh segment of the seat portion.
Bed with modified foot deck
A bed that converts into a chair is provided. The bed includes a base frame assembly, an intermediate frame assembly and a patient support deck. The patient support deck includes a head deck section, an intermediate deck section and a foot deck section.
Patient Support Apparatus Having Bearing Arrangement For Deck Extension Assembly
A patient support apparatus comprises a support frame and a patient support deck carried by the support frame. The patient support deck has a foot section configured to articulate relative to the support frame. A deck extension assembly comprises an extension frame and a deck extension section configured to extend and retract relative to the support frame. One more bearings are arranged between the deck extension section and the support frame. The deck extension section is movably coupled to the extension frame so that the deck extension section is able to move relative to the extension frame and relative to the foot section when the deck extension section extends and retracts relative to the support frame such that the deck extension section maintains contact with the bearing when extending and retracting relative to the support frame.
MATTRESS SUPPORT FOR ADDING HOSPITAL BED FUNCTIONALITY TO AN IN-HOME BED
A mattress support includes a base plate configured to be positioned on a box spring of a bed. A bladder may be coupled to a top surface of the base plate. A top plate is coupled to a top surface of the bladder. A top surface of the top plate is configured to support a mattress. The bladder is inflatable to adjust a height of the top plate.
Apparatus Providing Extension of a Surgical Table Width Allowing Adaptation to the Parameters of the Specific Patient
A surgical table with independently extendable or foldable side extension platforms (side rails) allowing accommodation of patients with variable physical characteristics. Said surgical table side extension platforms may be operated manually or by electrical or pneumatic actuators and may be controlled by a local or a remote (wireline or wireless connected) controller.
DETACHABLE BED RAIL
A detachable bed rail providing support for a user on a bed or similar furniture is disclosed. The detachable bed rail may include a base that can fit under a mattress, and a support rail that extends upright relative to the base. The bed rail may be decoupled from the base portion and coupled to the bed in a storage configuration. The detachable bed rail may include accessories comprising a rail cover, a tray table and an attachable extension.
Bed with pivotable bed surface
A central bed having a longitudinal bed frame and a bed section mounted to the frame for rotation about a substantially vertical axis between a home position aligned with the bed frame and an away position.
ANGLE CALIBRATION USING LOAD CELLS
An automated system and methods are provided for calibrating an accelerometer of a patient support apparatus using a load cell. The patient support apparatus includes a litter frame and a deck supported by the litter frame, movable between various angled positions. A patient support surface is arranged on the deck and configured to support a patient thereon. The patient support surface has at least one region configured to be disposed at an angular position. A load cell is provided, configured to generate load data including first and second load outputs detected at first and second trend angles with respect to a horizontal plane. An accelerometer is provided, configured to generate angle data including first and second angle outputs representative of the trend angles. A controller in communication with the load cell and the accelerometer determines an error in the angle data and calibrates the accelerometer.
BATTERY MANAGEMENT FOR PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, recliner, cot, stretcher, operating table, or the like, includes battery-powered circuitry whose functions are reduced, but not eliminated, as the battery charge level falls below a threshold. Electrical power may be cut off to one or more components of the battery-powered circuitry while still providing battery-supplied electrical power to the other components of the circuitry. A user interface provides battery status data, including a replacement status of a rechargeable battery, and allows a user to select different formats for displaying battery status data. Such formats include displays of battery charge level information not only in manners specific to the battery, but also in manners relative to the patient support apparatus, such as displays of how many, or how much of, one or more functions the patient support apparatus is able to perform based on the battery's current charge level.
Patient support systems and methods of use
A patient support system includes a patient support apparatus and a support surface mounted on the patient support apparatus. The patient support apparatus is reconfigurable among a plurality of different configurations for supporting a patient on the support surface in a plurality of positions. The support surface is mounted on the patient support apparatus to move in response to reconfiguration of the patient support apparatus.
