FACILITATED STRETCHING MACHINE
20180256936 · 2018-09-13 ·

A system to facilitate stretching for a user, including a force-applying component and a subject-engaging surface, such that the force applying element is attached to a first end of a rotatable element that rotates about a first point of secured support, or fulcrum, and the subject engaging surface is operatively connected to a second end of said rotatable element, such that application of force via the force-applying component causes rotational movement of the subject-engaging surface toward the user.

RECIPROCATING ARM MOTION WALKER
20180250189 · 2018-09-06 · ·

A wheeled ambulatory aid for mobility and training which is advanced via bodily contact. Reciprocating UE movement is enabled and reciprocating gait patterns can be performed. The patient mobility aid includes a frame, and at least first and second wheels operatively secured to and supporting the frame for selective rolling movement. First and second support assemblies are located on first and second sides of the frame, respectively. A reverse motion linkage operatively associated with the first and second support assemblies, the reverse motion linkage including a first state configured to provide independent between the first and second support assemblies, and a second state configured to provide interrelated movement between the first and second support assemblies to create symmetrical out of phase reciprocating UE movement. Support assemblies can variably be statically positioned.

Method and apparatus for extremity rehabilitation

A lower extremity mobilizer for use in rehabilitation is provided. A seat is slidably maintained upon a base, with a foot support brace being provided at an end of the base to receive the foot of a leg provided for arthrokinematic treatment. A cord and pulley system is provided between the seat and the end of the base. In use, a patient is seated with a foot received by the foot support brace. The patient provides arthrokinematic motion to his leg by pulling himself and the seat toward the end of the device having the foot support brace. The procedure is undertaken in a closed chain motion, with the foot constantly engaging the foot support brace, and is done so as a rate, timing and extent under the control of the patient.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEVICE

A device and method for alleviating extremity pain and improving range of motion using a mobile mirror with functional activity attachments. Secured symmetrical functional objects for manipulation are positioned either along side, in front, or on the mirror itself. The individual looks at the reflection of the non-affected extremity manipulating the functional attachment while both extremities perform the activity. The occupational therapy device is simple to use and can relocate to either tabletop or floor. The large mirror accommodates longer arms and legs for improved visual field and can be rotated for either vertical or horizontal orientation.

Exercise training apparatus

An exercise training apparatus attached to a trainee who performs a body exercise training, includes movable bodies, actuators, sensors and a processor. The movable bodies each having a fixed member which a part of a trainee's body is fixed to and exercising a trainee's extremities by rotating around shafts, respectively. The sensors each detecting a physical quantity that changes depending on force applied to the fixed members by a trainee. The processor, in response to a detection of a predetermined change in a physical quantity by the sensors, driving the actuators, rotating the movable bodies in a first direction and successively rotating the movable bodies in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

REHABILITATION ROBOT INTEGRATED WITH PATIENT MOBILITY AND TRANSFER

A rehabilitation robot integrated with patient mobility and transfer includes a moving carrier, a posture adjustment assembly, and an exercise assembly. The moving carrier includes a main frame. The posture adjustment assembly includes a chair seat and a chair seat adjustment assembly. The chair seat adjustment assembly is connected to the chair seat and the main frame and is configured to move the chair seat with respect to the main frame to a sitting posture position and a standing posture position. The exercise assembly includes a pair of pedals and a driving assembly. The driving assembly is connected to the pedals and the main frame and is configured to drive the pedals into coordinated displacement and thereby produce a desirable rehabilitation effect.

PATIENT AID DEVICES, PARTICULARLY FOR MOBILE UPPER EXTREMITY SUPPORT IN RAILED DEVICES SUCH AS PARALLEL BARS AND TREADMILLS
20180043202 · 2018-02-15 ·

Patient aid devices and an associated method of supporting an upper extremity are described and include a mobile upper extremity support for the patient. A support assembly supports a first side of an upper body of the user for movement along a first rail. The support assembly also allows motion of a second side of an upper body relative to the first side.

LOWER LIMB REHABILITATION, MOBILITY AND EXERCISE APPARATUS

In one aspect the invention provides a lower limb rehabilitation, mobility and exercise apparatus which includes a chassis having a front end and a rear end, and two foot platforms located between the front and rear ends of the chassis. Also provided is a transfer linkage engaged with each of the two foot platforms, the transfer linkage being connected to the chassis. The apparatus is configured so that motion of one foot platform towards the front end of the chassis causes the transfer linkage to move the remaining foot platform towards the rear end of the chassis.

Stretch training tool

A dynamic body stretching device with an elastic loop stitched to a static loop. The elastic loop forms a hand strap with a threaded on end grip handle. The static loop forms a foot loop. Between the elastic loop and the foot loop are threaded on handgrips held in position by buckle type strap locks. The handgrips have mirrored end ovoid shape allowing gripping and pulling from alternative directions.
