A cartridge for use with a beneficial agent delivery device having a fillable reservoir. The cartridge includes a reconstitution, unit dose package having first and second compartments, and a fitment. The first compartment contains at least a first constituent of the beneficial agent. The second compartment contains at least a second constituent of the beneficial agent. The fitment is disposed on the package for interfacing the package to the fillable reservoir.

INTEGRATED CAP AND SEAL SYSTEM

A cap and seal system for a liquid medicament container. The system comprises a cap formed from a substantially rigid material and has a retention component integrally formed therewith. A seal is formed from a material which is less hard than the cap and positioned within the cap such that, when the retaining component retains the cap on a container in use the seal is positioned such that it forms a fluid tight seal between the cap and the container. A recess is formed in the seal through which a liquid outlet channel can pass in use to access the contents of the container via the cap and the seal.

Hand-held fluid transfer device and system

A disposable transfer device has an injection device support surface for receiving an on-body injection device thereon and a flow path arrangement for transfer of fluid into the injection device, the transfer device being configured to define preferential gripping areas for user gripping of an injection device when such device is located on the support surface and interfering areas for interfering with user gripping of the injection device in the interfering areas.

Vial adaptor assembly for a closed fluid transfer system

A vial adaptor assembly, suitable for use with a vial containing a medicament and a syringe adaptor, which is in turn connectable to a syringe having a piston adapted for selectable displacement in a first direction for drawing fluid into the syringe and in a second direction for expelling fluid from the syringe, the vial adaptor assembly including: a vial connector for non-removable connection with the vial containing a medicament; a syringe adaptor connector for connection with the syringe adaptor; a pressure equalization chamber having a variable volume, which is sealed from the outside environment during use; a liquid pathway communicating between an interior of the vial containing the medicament and an interior of the syringe when the syringe adaptor is connected to the syringe adaptor connector and the syringe is connected to the syringe adaptor and the vial connector is connected to the vial containing the medicament; and a venting pathway communicating between the interior of the vial containing the medicament and an interior of the pressure equalization chamber, when the vial connector is connected to the vial containing the medicament, wherein the pressure equalization chamber and the venting pathway are mutually configured such that, when the syringe adaptor is connected to the syringe adaptor connector and the syringe is connected to the syringe adaptor and the vial connector is connected to the vial containing the medicament, substantially all of any of the medicament that becomes located within the pressure equalization chamber is removed therefrom via the venting pathway and returned to the interior of the vial by displacement of the piston of the syringe in the first direction.

Drug delivery device

A drug delivery device comprising a delivery unit (2) including an internal reservoir (8), a subcutaneous delivery mechanism (6), a pump for pumping liquid from the internal reservoir to the subcutaneous delivery system, and a liquid filling mechanism (12) configured for injecting liquid from an external vial (16) or reservoir into the internal reservoir. The liquid filling mechanism comprises a filling port (14) and a valve mechanism (18) selectively operable to: open a first fluid path (54) extending from the filling port to the internal fluid reservoir and close a second fluid path (56) extending from the internal reservoir to the subcutaneous delivery member, or close the first fluid path and open the second fluid path. The valve mechanism comprises a valve housing (48) fixedly mounted in relation to a housing of the drug delivery device and a valve stem (50) rotatably received within the valve housing, whereby the first fluid path and the second fluid path are selectively operated by the rotational position of the valve stem in relation to the valve housing, such that when the valve stem is in a first position, the first fluid path is open while the second fluid path is closed, and when the valve stem is in a second position, the second fluid path is open while the first fluid path is closed.

The assembly comprises: a stand for hanging a container of a main liquid, a spike, to be introduced into the container of main liquid, a multi-inlet connector with inlet tubings, to be connected to containers of additional liquids and to the container of main liquid through the spike, and an outlet tubing to be connected to a luer syringe to be introduced into a patient. The length of the spike inlet tubing of the connector has a length determined for, during use of the assembly with a container of main liquid, keeping the connector hung up on the stand through the spike and the container of main liquid. Thanks to the invention, the problem of the tubing traffic is solved.

Syringe adapter with disconnection feedback mechanism

A syringe adapter includes a housing having a first end and a second end with the first end configured to be secured to a first container, a cannula having a first end and a second end with the second end positioned within the housing, and a collet having a first end and a second end with at least a portion of the collet received within the housing. The collet includes a body defining a passageway, a seal member received by the passageway, and an arcuate, resilient locking member connected to the body of the collet. The collet is movable from a first position where the locking member is open to receive a mating connector to a second position where radially outward movement of the locking member is restricted.

Reconstitution system to administer a drug via a high vacuum vial with integrated vent conduit

A reconstitution device includes a body, a first piercing member located at a first end of the body, and a receptacle located at the second end of the body. The receptacle includes a collar configured to engage a vial, and a cap extending from the collar and holding a second piercing member. The second piercing member is disposed within the collar. The reconstitution device includes a first fluid pathway formed within and extending from the first piercing member to the second piercing member. The reconstitution device includes a second fluid pathway formed within and extending from the second piercing member to a portion of the body between the first piercing member and the second piercing member.
