Connector for transferring the contents of a container
Methods and devices for transferring materials between containers are discussed. One such connector includes: a base; a first elongate structure having first and second ends, the first elongate structure extending from a first side of the base at the first end to the second end distal the base, the second end forming a first opening sized and configured to receive a first container; a duct extending through the base and having a first tip skirted on one or more sides by the first elongate structure; a first guard positioned within the first elongate structure, wherein the first guard comprises a first surface, and the first surface is located further away from the base than the first tip. When the first container is moved into the first opening, the first surface moves toward the base, and the first tip enters the first container, creating a fluid path for the first container.
Drug Transfer Device
A drug transfer device includes a housing, a vial attachment configured to secure the drug transfer device to a drug vial, a vial transfer member defining a passageway, a cannula received within the housing, with the cannula in fluid communication with the passageway of the vial transfer member and having a first end and a second end positioned opposite from the first end, a seal arrangement positioned within the housing, with the seal arrangement movable within the housing between a first position where the cannula is isolated from the first end of the housing and a second position where the cannula is configured to be in fluid communication with a mating connector received by the first end of the housing, and a connection member defining a passageway in fluid communication with the passageway of the vial transfer member, with the connection member configured to receive a mating connector.
TRANSFER DEVICE WITH USER-CONTROLLED VENTING
A vial access device comprising an first housing comprising a vent body having a cover configured for reversibly hermetically sealing the vent body; a first spike having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end projecting from the first housing, the first spike having a fluid lumen and a vent lumen, each arranged parallel to the first longitudinal axis, the vent lumen in fluidic communication with the vent body; a shroud projecting the first housing and at least partially surrounding a portion of the first spike; the shroud configured to receive a vial or container; a connector member projecting from the first housing, the connector in fluid communication with the fluid lumen of the first spike. Methods of transferring solutions from medicament vials are also provided.
Standardizations and medical devices for the preparation of platelet rich plasma (PRP) or bone marrow concentrate (BMC) alone or in combination with hyaluronic acid
The present invention is related to the field of tissue regeneration. It concerns more particularly new standardizations and medical devices for the preparation of A-PRP, PRP, BMC, fat tissue, alone or in combination with a biomaterial or cell extract.
Filter medium for obtaining plasma, and associated filtration device and method
A filter medium includes two porous zones arranged in the form of a stack that include (i) a first porous zone, called “prefiltration”, treated with at least one reagent presenting affinity for red blood cells and leading to red blood cells being captured or agglutinated on the prefiltration zone; and (ii) a second porous zone, called “asymmetric”, presenting pore size that decreases transversely to its thickness, the portion of higher pore size being positioned towards the prefiltration zone.
DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING A LIQUID FROM A FIRST VIAL TO A SECOND VIAL
A device for transferring a liquid from a first vial to a second vial is disclosed having a dome portion configured to create an air flow when activated by compression and re-expansion, and a support body tightly supporting the dome portion to form a chamber with air therein. The support body includes first and second vial seats, and a transfer conduit. The first and second vial seats are arranged to receive the first and second vials. When the first and second vials are received in the first and second vial seats, the transfer conduit is arranged to establish a fluid connection between the first vial and the second vial. Upon activation of the dome portion, air is delivered into the first vial, thereby creating a pressure rise in the first vial which causes the liquid to transfer from the first vial to the second vial through the transfer conduit.
Reconstitution device, system, and method to administer a drug in a moderate bolus
A reconstitution device includes: a piercing member having a first end and a second end, the first end of the piercing member configured to engage an administration port; a delivery member having a first end and a second end, the first end of the delivery member configured to engage a delivery site; a collar configured to engage a vial; and a cap extending from the collar and holding the piercing member and the delivery member such that the second end of the piercing member and the second end of the delivery member are disposed within the cylindrical collar.
Pressurized Gas Powered Liquid Transfer Device and System
A transfer device for transferring a medical fluid from a vial to a medical fluid injection device includes a vial holder where a vial spike positioned within the vial holder is configured to enter a vial containing a medical fluid when the vial is inserted into the vial holder. An expansion chamber having an interior cavity is in fluid communication with the vial spike. A pressurized gas cartridge is positioned with the interior cavity of the expansion chamber, while a puncture tip is configured to puncture the pressurized gas cartridge when actuated by a user. The vial spike is also configured to be in fluid communication with an injection device attached to the transfer device.
Connector section
A locking element for a connector configured to connect two components of a fluid transfer system and a connector that comprises the locking element are described. The connector comprising the locking element is configured to provide continuous fluid channels between a first component and a second component of a fluid transfer system, the fluid is a hazardous drug and the connector is designated for safe and contamination-free transfer of said hazardous drug from first to second container while isolating the needle tips and causing no dangerous and harmful leaks.
Liquid transfer device with telescopic vial adapter for use with infusion liquid container and discrete injection vial
A liquid transfer device is described. The liquid transfer device comprising a vial adapter comprising a puncturing cannula for puncturing an injection vial stopper, an IV spike and a substitute IV port holder for receiving a substitute IV port, and a flow control member port. The IV spike, the substitute IV port holder and the puncturing cannula are in flow communication with the flow control member port. The liquid transfer device comprising a flow control member sealingly inserted in the flow control member port. Rotation of the flow control member between a plurality of positions controls flow communication of the liquid transfer device, the positions comprising a mixing position for enabling flow communication between the IV spike and the puncturing cannula; and an administering position for enabling flow communication between the IV spike and the substitute IV port holder.
