DEVICE FOR FORMING A MEDICAL PASTE
The invention regards a device for reconstituting a bioactive agent and forming a flowable paste, the device comprising: a base configured for receiving: a first container containing a liquid, and a second container containing the bioactive agent, a syringe containing a paste forming material, the syringe being attachable to the base, wherein the base has a first conduit for fluidly connecting the first container with the second container and a second conduit for fluidly connecting the second container with the syringe, and wherein the first container is configured to be pressurizable such that when the first and second containers are received at the base, the liquid is forced through the first conduit into the second container, thereby reconstituting the bioactive agent, and the reconstituted bioactive agent is forced through the second conduit into the syringe, such that a paste is formed.
Systems and methods for safe medicament transport
A medicament transport system includes a syringe adapter assembly; and a vial adapter assembly including a base defining an opening having a seal member disposed therewithin, a stem extending from the base and defining a lumen therethrough and an opening through a wall thereof, a needle shuttle valve slidably disposed within the lumen of the stem and supporting a transfer needle and a vacuum needle; and a vacuum cup slidably supported on the stem, wherein a vacuum chamber is defined in the space between the base, the stem and the vacuum cup. The medicament transport system includes a condition where the transfer needle and the vacuum needles penetrate the seal member of the vial adapter assembly, and the vacuum cup is moved to draw a vacuum through the vacuum needle. An automation system is provided that utilizes a medicament transport system for forming a medicament solution from a liquid/non-liquid solution.
Safety drug handling device
A drug mixing system including at least one receptacle port adaptor adapted to be inserted into a port of a fluid receptacle, at least one syringe adaptor adapted to be attached to a syringe and to the at least one receptacle port adaptor and at least one vial adaptor adapted for connection to a vial containing a drug and adapted for connection to the at least one syringe adaptor, the system being characterized in that at least one of the receptacle port adaptor, the at least one syringe adaptor and the at least one vial adaptor being vented to the atmosphere in a manner which prevents release to the atmosphere of possibly harmful contents of the vial in a liquid, solid or gaseous form.
DRUG MIXING CONTAINER
A drug mixing container is provided. The drug mixing container includes a container with an opening facing upward and a cover body. An inner peripheral wall of the container includes at least one piercing structure protruding toward the opening of the container. The cover body accommodates a drug and includes a sealing film for sealing the drug in the cover body. In use, when an opening of the cover body is coupled downward to the opening of the container, the sealing film is pierced and torn by the piercing structure to make the drug in the cover body flow into the container, thereby preventing hands of an operator from being stained with the drug.
Universal fluid container adapter
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that punctures a fluid container to couple with and gain access to the contents of the fluid container. In one embodiment, for example, a platform may be used to support a fluid container as one or more penetration members attached to a crossmember are advanced into the fluid container along rails connected between the platform and the crossmember. In such embodiments, the one or more penetration members may include lumens to enable a tubing set to access the contents of the fluid container.
Fluid transfer devices for filling drug pump cartridges with liquid drug contents
Fluid transfer devices for filling a drug pump cartridge with liquid drug contents for administration purposes. Fluid transfer device includes a dual open ended barrel partitioned by a transverse partition into a drug vial port for telescopic mounting on a drug vial and an open ended piston cylinder for slidingly receiving a piston head including a drug pump cartridge port for telescopic mounting on a leading cartridge end of a drug pump cartridge. Sliding insertion of the piston head into the piston cylinder to butt against the transverse partition urges air trapped in the compression chamber into the drug vial which in turn urges its liquid drug contents into the vented drug pump cartridge.
System and method for injection component preparation
An assembly for mixing drug components includes a housing to at least partially hold a first drug component container and a second drug component container. The assembly also includes a transfer member having first and second ends to fluidly couple the respective first and second drug component containers. The assembly further includes a pressure member to fluidly couple the first drug component container to a pressure generation chamber. In addition, the assembly includes an energy storage member to generate pressure in the pressure generation chamber to transfer a fluid from the first drug component container into the second drug component container. Moreover, the assembly includes an exit member to fluidly couple the second drug component container to an exterior of the assembly.
CONNECTION EQUIPMENT AND EQUIPMENT CONNECTOR
Connection equipment includes an equipment connector comprising a first connecting section, a first liquid flow path that communicates with a equipment, and a first valve that is to open and close the first liquid flow path, a container connector comprising a second connecting section, a second liquid flow path that communicates with the container, and a second valve that is to open and close the second liquid flow path, and a lock mechanism that locks the equipment connector and the container connector in a state where the first liquid flow path is in communication with the second liquid flow path, and that unlocks the connectors in a state where the first valve and the second valve are closed.
