The present disclosure is related to jars and containers and, more particularly, to the manufacture of readily recyclable jars and containers.

An exemplary jar is comprised of an aluminum base and a first aluminum inner cup provided with a first cavity defined with the aluminum base. An outer thread is provided about an exterior surface of the aluminum base, and an aluminum lid with a second aluminum inner cup is provided within a second cavity defined within the aluminum lid. An inner thread mateable with the outer thread is provided about an interior surface of the second aluminum inner cup.

A method of manufacturing readily recyclable jars can comprise providing a primary metal material and optionally applying a precoating to the primary metal material. The primary metal material may be formed into a jar with mating threads and a lid with mating threads. The primary metal material may optionally be finished. A liner may optionally be inserted. The lid and jar are then assembled, and a plastic cup may optionally be installed.

A cosmetic container that is suitable for being made compact and that does not leak when inverted, even when low-viscosity cosmetics are contained therein, and which allows the cosmetics to be reliably oozed when used. The cosmetic container includes a container body for containing a liquid cosmetic, the container body having an upwardly open opening therein, an outer lid for sealing the opening in the container body and a plate-shaped pad that vertically partitions the interior of the container body. The pad is made of felt. The maximum amount of the cosmetic in the container body is such that, when the container body is upright so that the opening in the container body faces vertically upward, the liquid level of the cosmetic is below the bottom surface of the pad.

A jar and lid assembly that includes a jar assembly configured to hold a product. The jar and lid assembly also includes a lid assembly coupled to the jar assembly and includes an outer lid portion and an inner lid portion. The coupling of the lid assembly may be by rotation to secure the lid assembly using threads. A magnet may be positioned within the lid assembly to magnetically couple a cosmetic implement to an outer surface of the lid assembly.

The invention concerns a refill (2) intended to be inserted into a makeup case (1). The refill (2) comprises a vessel containing a liquid makeup, the vessel comprising a tank (6) comprising an open top face forming an opening for dispensing the makeup. The tank (6) is delimited by a side wall (18) in line with the opening and a bottom (22) of the tank. The refill (2) comprises an absorbent complex (7) in the tank (6). The vessel further comprises at least one additional volume (13) outside the tank (6), in fluid communication with the inside of said tank (6). This helps optimise the volume available for containing a liquid make-up, while allowing the latter to be effectively retained in the refill. The invention also concerns an assembly comprising a case (1) and such a refill (2).

The patent application relates to a method of producing a monomer component from a genetically modified polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biomass, wherein the biomass is heated in the presence of a catalyst to release a monomer component from the PHA.

A refillable device for packaging cosmetic product, comprising a removable container containing cosmetic product, an outer casing defining a housing for receiving the removable container, the housing for receiving the removable container being open at an outlet in the outer casing, and a lid adapted to seal closed the outlet of the housing in the outer casing. The removable container is attached to the outer casing by the elastic interlocking of complementary reliefs. The removable container can be reversibly removed from the outer casing. The lid is adapted to be attached to one among the lid and the removable container so as to lock in place the elastic interlocking of the complementary relief portions.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic container including: a container body made of a paper material; an inner container inserted into the container body to store a cosmetic content; and an overcap coupled to top of the inner container to open and close the inner container, wherein as the inner container is inserted into the container body, an outer peripheral surface of the inner container comes into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the container body, thereby allowing the inner container to be coupled to the container body.

Systems, devices, and methods including a container including: a base portion configured to receive a dampened cosmetic sponge; a cap portion configured to be detachably attached to the base portion; and one or more apertures disposed in the cap portion, where the one or more apertures provide airflow into the container.

Embodiments described herein relate to a jar and lid combination with a jar body and a threadably-attachable jar lid, where the jar lid has a translucent window. Certain embodiments provide a structure for the windowed jar lid and jar body, so that the jar can contain fine powder without leakage, and without the need for a separate sealing layer adhered to the rim of the jar prior to securing the lid to the jar. Other embodiments relate to structures and methods for use by which a logo can be printed on the jar lid window, and then mechanically secured to the jar body, such that the logo is correctly aligned with the printed information on the front of the jar.

A lip balm applicator assembly for applying lip balm without touching the lip balm includes a canister that contains a viscous lip balm. The canister has a storage compartment integrated therein and the storage compartment is fluidly discrete from an interior of the canister. A lid is removably coupled to the canister for closing the canister. An applicator is slidably positioned in the storage compartment for storage. The applicator is dipped into the viscous lip balm in the canister to apply the viscous lip balm to lips without requiring the viscous lip balm in the container to be touched. In this way the applicator reduces transfer of bacteria to the viscous lip balm in the container.
