Primary packaging
A primary packaging for a liquid including an at least partially collapsible container and a connector element for connection of the primary packaging to a withdrawal device. The connector element has at least one connector channel which is in fluid communication with an interior space of the container. The container is composed at least partially of a foil which is constructed from a first layer which, during intended use of the primary packaging comes into direct contact with the liquid. Both the first layer and the connector element are composed of a plastics material including at least one cyclic olefin polymer.
Closure piece for a powder syringe, and powder syringe
A closure piece for a powder syringe is proposed, having a main body, a sealing element, which is disposed on the main body such that it rests in a sealing manner against a distal opening of a powder syringe, when the closure piece is disposed in the closing position thereof on the powder syringe, and a channel, which passes through the main body and the sealing element and has a proximal and a distal end. The closure piece is characterized by a retaining element, which is configured and/or can be disposed such that, prior to an activation of the powder syringe, any powder from a chamber of the powder syringe is at least substantially, preferably completely, prevented from penetrating the channel, when the closure piece is disposed in the closing position thereof on the powder syringe.
MIXING VIAL
A mixing vial having a hollow interior chamber with a tubular portion having distal and proximal open ends and a stopper positioned in sealing relationship in the tubular portion, the stopper having a hollow interior chamber with an open end and a dislodgeable plug positioned in and sealing the open end.
MIXING APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus for mixing a fluid material and a solid material comprises (a) a barrel; (b) a plunger displaceable within the barrel; (c) a slider disposed within the barrel between the fluid and solid materials. The slider, when reciprocatively displaced within the barrel, is permeable by the fluid material and the solved solid material under a pressure differential between the fluid and solid materials. The pressure differential is multiply exerted to the slider by the plunger such that a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Primary Packaging
A primary packaging for a liquid is presented including an at least partially collapsible container and a connector element for connection of the primary packaging to a withdrawal device. The connector element has at least one connector channel which is in fluid communication with an interior space of the container. The container is composed at least partially of a foil which is constructed from a first layer which, during intended use of the primary packaging, comes into direct contact with the liquid. Both the first layer and the connector element are composed of a plastics material including at least one cyclic olefin polymer.
METERED DOSE TOPICAL APPLICATOR
A topical applicator of the propel/repel type includes a reservoir, an attachable applicator cap, and a metered dosing system. The reservoir is suitable for mixing a topical formulation of multiple constituents using an electronic mortar and pestle and is closed using the applicator cap. Alternatively, the reservoir may be prefilled with a ready-to-use cream and medicament formulation, then sealed with a removable seal. The topical applicator can include a fast purge feature that overrides the metered dosing system to facilitate removal of air from the reservoir. The topical applicator can also include a one-way ratcheting feature to prevent reverse movement (repel) of the metered dosing system. Metered doses can be dispensed through holes in the applicator cap by rotating a knob, which has detent positions that correspond to discrete doses, and which provides audible and tactile feedback.
MIXING VIAL
A mixing vial having a hollow interior chamber with a tubular portion having distal and proximal open ends and a stopper positioned in sealing relationship in the tubular portion, the stopper having a hollow interior chamber with an open end and a dislodgeable plug positioned in and sealing the open end.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR COMBINING AND/OR DELIVERING INJECTABLE MATERIALS
Devices, systems, and methods for combining and/or delivering an injectable material to a patient. The injectable material may be formed of two or more reactive components delivered in separate chambers. Various features are provided to reduce human error in combining the reactive components in the appropriate sequence to form the injectable material, generally at (e.g., immediately prior to) the time of delivery to a patient. The system includes a sleeve lock which facilitates coupling of a device having a first chamber containing a first component with a vial having a second chamber containing a second component to combine the first and second components. The combined first and second components are contained within the first chamber for delivery to a patient via an injection system, which may be fluidly coupled with the first chamber with the assistance of the sleeve lock.
