An infusion adapter for connection with an infusion fluid container includes a connection portion configured to engage an injection port of an infusion fluid container, and a port configured to connect to an intravenous line, with the port in fluid communication with the connection portion. The connection portion includes a retaining ring extending radially outward from the connection portion, with the retaining ring configured to securely connect the infusion adapter to the infusion fluid container to substantially prevent disconnection of the infusion adapter from the infusion fluid container once the infusion adapter is connected to the infusion fluid container. The retaining ring includes an indicator configured to provide visualization of insertion of the connection portion into an injection port of an infusion fluid container.

The needle bore is in communication with the handle bore. The collection vessel is capable of receiving aspirated bone fragments and tissue. The tubing operably connects the connection port and the collection vessel.

The drug mixing device includes a body including a first connection part configured to be coupled with the first container and a second connection part configured to be coupled with the second container, and a backflow prevention part disposed in a partial flow path of the main flow path extending to the one end with reference to the connection point of the main flow path and the branch flow path, the backflow prevention part being configured to prevent liquid from flowing from the connection point to the one end.

Various aspects of the subject disclosure relate to a compounder system having a cartridge that includes fluid pathways controllable by valves of the cartridge. A pump component within the cartridge is actuable to move fluid through the controllable fluid pathways. The cartridge includes a needle extending from a cartridge body and fluidly coupled to at least one of the controllable fluid pathways. The cartridge includes a vacuum bellows that surrounds the needle when the bellows is in an extended configuration. The vacuum bellows is compressible to expose the needle and generates a vacuum condition within the bellows when the bellows is extended from a compressed configuration to the extended configuration. The needle may be a dual-lumen plastic needle.

The device comprises a connector body comprising a projection portion defining a tab and an IV port arranged at a first end of the connector body, the IV port comprising an elongate connecting member projecting therefrom and defining a cutout. The projection portion is configured to be received by the elongate connecting member, and the tab is configured to mate with the cutout so as to rotationally fix the IV port relative to the connector body.

In one aspect, the subject invention is directed to a method of preparing a combinatorial drug delivery device based on a predetermined selection of drug components. The method includes: preparing a plurality of containers, each accommodating one of the selected drug components; coupling the containers to a common outlet so that the drug components may be extracted from the containers and dispensed through the common outlet; and, applying negative pressure to extract the drug components from the containers and urge the drug components towards the common outlet.
