ENTERAL FEEDING ADAPTERS AND METHODS OF USING THE ENTERAL FEEDING ADAPTERS
An adapter is provided for connecting a container of flowable material, such as enteral feed formula in a laminated paper container, to a feeding tube to enable bolus feeding. The adapter can transfer the flowable material from the container by piercing the container and/or a cover of the container. The adapter can form a fluid-tight friction seal on the container. In some embodiments, the adapter has a reusable tube vent long enough to be positioned in the air gap of the container when the container is inverted by a user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INJECTION COMPONENT PREPARATION
An assembly for mixing drug components includes a housing to at least partially hold a first drug component container and a second drug component container. The assembly also includes a transfer member having first and second ends to fluidly couple the respective first and second drug component containers. The assembly further includes a pressure member to fluidly couple the first drug component container to a pressure generation chamber. In addition, the assembly includes an energy storage member to generate pressure in the pressure generation chamber to transfer a fluid from the first drug component container into the second drug component container. Moreover, the assembly includes an exit member to fluidly couple the second drug component container to an exterior of the assembly.
Grasping facilitators and uses thereof and kits involving the same
There is featured a grasping facilitator that has one or more of a) to c) as set forth below: a) a combination having an annular core and a plurality of gripping ribs spaced about the annular core, with the core and gripping ribs being formed of an elastomeric material and the ribs extending about an upper part, outer part and bottom part of the core so as to leave an interior region of the core that is aligned radially with respective ribs exposed; b) a pliable collar having a main body with a plurality of ridges separated by concave recesses and a central aperture; c) a tray holder having an aperture or projection that has a configuration designed to conform with at least one of a) and b). There is further featured kit combinations of a) to c) above as well as methods of using and assembling one or all combinations of a) to c).
Drug mixing container
A drug mixing container is provided. The drug mixing container includes a container with an opening facing upward and a cover body. An inner peripheral wall of the container includes at least one piercing structure protruding toward the opening of the container. The cover body accommodates a drug and includes a sealing film for sealing the drug in the cover body. In use, when an opening of the cover body is coupled downward to the opening of the container, the sealing film is pierced and torn by the piercing structure to make the drug in the cover body flow into the container, thereby preventing hands of an operator from being stained with the drug.
METERED DOSE TOPICAL APPLICATOR
A topical applicator of the propel/repel type includes a reservoir, an attachable applicator cap, and a metered dosing system. The reservoir is suitable for mixing a topical formulation of multiple constituents using an electronic mortar and pestle and is closed using the applicator cap. Alternatively, the reservoir may be prefilled with a ready-to-use cream and medicament formulation, then sealed with a removable seal. The topical applicator can include a fast purge feature that overrides the metered dosing system to facilitate removal of air from the reservoir. The topical applicator can also include a one-way ratcheting feature to prevent reverse movement (repel) of the metered dosing system. Metered doses can be dispensed through holes in the applicator cap by rotating a knob, which has detent positions that correspond to discrete doses, and which provides audible and tactile feedback.
MEDICAL SCOPES FOR DELIVERING THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
The present embodiments provide systems and methods suitable for delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site. In one example, the system comprises a container for holding the therapeutic agent, and a pressure source having pressurized fluid, wherein the pressure source is in selective fluid communication with at least a portion of the container. A catheter is placed in fluid communication with the container, and has a lumen sized for delivery of the therapeutic agent to a target site. A housing is configured to securely retain the container. The system further comprises a camera having a camera head coupled to the catheter, wherein the camera provides a visual image of the target site during delivery of the therapeutic agent.
SYRINGE ADAPTER
An exemplary syringe adapter for coupling with a syringe may include a housing. A needle-free connector may be disposed in the housing. A communication member may be in slidable engagement with the housing. The communication member may be slidable, with respect to the housing, between an unactuated state and an actuated state of the syringe adapter. A cannula may extend from the communication. In the unactuated state, the cannula may be retracted within the needle-free connector. In the actuated state, the cannula may protrude through and axially beyond the needle-free connector.
Container connector and connection equipment
Container connector includes a base in which a flow path is formed, an engagement section disposed on a circle set to the base, a guiding section disposed continuously with the engagement section, and having a guide surface formed as a curved surface to guide the container to the engagement section and facing a side of an axis of the circle, and an arm provided in the base, and movably supporting the guiding section in a direction toward the axis of the circle and a direction away from the axis.
DRUG MIXING DEVICE, DRUG MIXING KIT COMPRISING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
In drug mixing devices of disclosed embodiments, a main flow path extending from one end configured to allow liquid inside the first container to enter the main flow path therethrough to another end configured to allow liquid inside the second container to enter the main flow path therethrough, and a branch flow path branching from the main flow path are formed. The drug mixing device includes a body including a first connection part configured to be coupled with the first container and a second connection part configured to be coupled with the second container, and a backflow prevention part disposed in a partial flow path of the main flow path extending to the one end with reference to the connection point of the main flow path and the branch flow path, the backflow prevention part being configured to prevent liquid from flowing from the connection point to the one end.
