Personal Care Compositions Incorporating Natural Benefit Agents and Methods for the Same
Solid cleansing compositions and methods for the same are disclosed herein. The solid cleansing composition may include a soap and a plant oil. The plant oil may include flaxseed oil, and may be present in an amount effective to maintain or increase hydration of skin, inhibit inflammation of skin, deodorize skin, inhibit irritation of skin, or combinations thereof.
Personal Care Compositions
Disclosed are alcohol-free personal care compositions, e.g., hand sanitizers, that effectively deposit topically active natural antibacterial compounds (e.g., carvone and thymol) on the skin. In one aspect the disclosure relates to personal care compositions comprising, essential oils (e.g., thymol and carvone), in combination with a carboxylic acid, (e.g., lactic acid), into an alcohol-free product that leads to unexpected benefits with respect to bacterial reduction, e.g., with respect to reduction of S. aureus and E. coli bacteria.
Oral Care Compositions
Disclosed herein are oral care compositions comprising hydroxyapatite and a silica abrasive as well as methods of reducing or inhibiting enamel erosion, repairing enamel erosion damage, increasing enamel microcrack resistance and/or increasing enamel microscratch resistance using these compositions.
Cosmetic composition comprising glycolic acid and methods of use
The present disclosure relates to stable cosmetic compositions that include high levels of free glycolic acid. The cosmetic compositions typically include: glycolic acid and/or a salt thereof; at least one non-silicone fatty compound; at least one emulsifier; at least one water-soluble solvent; at least one silicone; and water. The cosmetic compositions are in the form of an emulsion, in particular, a water-in-oil emulsion, and typically have a low pH of below 7. Also, the cosmetic compositions have high amount of free glycolic acid, for example, at least 6 wt. % of free glycolic acid, based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. The cosmetic compositions are particularly useful for improving the appearance of skin. Accordingly, the instant disclosure relates to methods of treating skin, for example, improving the appearance of skin using the cosmetic compositions.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE POLAR OIL, AN ALIPHATIC MONOALCOHOL, A MIXTURE OF POLYOLS AND AT LEAST ONE HYDROPHILIC ACTIVE AGENT
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising: from 30% to 89% by weight of at least one polar oil with respect to the total weight of the composition; from 6% to 45% by weight of at least one C.sub.2-C.sub.6 aliphatic monoalcohol with respect to the total weight of the composition; from 4% to 30% by weight of hexylene glycol with respect to the total weight of the composition; from 8% to 40% by weight of dipropylene glycol with respect to the total weight of the composition; and at least one hydrophilic active agent, said composition containing less than 15% by weight of water with respect to the total weight of the composition.
Pet cleansing composition
A composition and method are provided. The composition may be a cleansing and conditioning composition for an animal. The composition may include, a solvent, a thickening agent, a conditioning agent comprising a rice protein, and a botanical agent. The composition may be free of a lathering agent and suitable for use in cleansing and conditioning an animal.
ANTIBACTERIAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING AN ACETAL OR A LONG-CHAIN ALKYL HEXITANE ETHER
The present invention relates to a A bactericidal or bacteriostatic composition comprising an acetal or a hexitan ether preferentially of a long-chain alkyl sorbitan, arlitan or mannitan, its use in the treatment or prevention of Gram-positive bacterial infections, its use as a hygiene or dermatological product for external use and a method for disinfecting surfaces.
MOISTURIZING BASE MATERIAL CONTAINING LIPID PEPTIDE COMPOUND
A moisturizing base material that contains a lipid peptide compound including at least one of compounds of Formula (1) below and simulated compounds thereof or pharmaceutically usable salts thereof, a surfactant, a specific polyhydric alcohol, a fatty acid, and water.
