The present disclosure relates to water-soluble formulations containing cannabinoids. In particular, the formulations comprise at least one isolated cannabinoid, cannabinoid oil or cannabinoid resin, and a solubilizing agent of Formula (I), where the group X is a residue of a hydrophobic moiety selected from sterols, tocopherols, and derivatives thereof, and the group Y is a residue of a hydrophilic moiety selected from polyalcohols, polyethers, and derivatives thereof. In preferred embodiments, the cannabinoid comprises cannabidiol (CBD) or Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and the hydrophobic moiety is polyoxyethanyl-α-tocopheryl sebacate (TPS). In embodiments, the formulations comprise a carrier oil, such as a medium length triglyceride (MCT), and are dispersed in water in the form of micelles.

Embodiments of sunscreen formulations are disclosed herein. In one example, a sunscreen formulation includes a) a physical/inorganic sunscreen active ingredient at from about 5% to about 25% on a weight/weight (w/w) basis, wherein the physical/inorganic sunscreen active ingredient generates a first sun protection factor (“SPF”) value to a sunscreen formulation; b) gadusol; and c) a plurality of ingredients configured to deliver ingredients a) and b) in the sunscreen formulation, wherein the gadusol is present in the sunscreen formulation in an amount sufficient to generate a SPF booster effect in the sunscreen formulation to provide an enhanced SPF value for the sunscreen formulation that is at least 1.5 times the first SPF value generated by the physical/inorganic sunscreen active ingredient when the physical/inorganic sunscreen active ingredient is present at a same amount in a formulation that does not contain gadusol.

A skincare composition and a method for removing layers of skin in a cosmetic procedure. The skincare composition comprises active ingredients mixed into a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The active ingredients include an effective amount of one or more keratolytic agents for inducing a desired degree of keratolysis in the skin, an effective amount of one or more free radical neutralizing agents for negating cellular damage from reactive chemical species, and an effective amount of one or more agents increasing synthesis of dermal components. The one or more free radical neutralizing agents and the one or more agents increasing synthesis of dermal components are acids in their un-neutralized, natural acid form, and a total amount of the active ingredients is less than 50 w/w% of the skincare composition, and a pH of the skincare composition is between 1.5-3.5.

The appearance of hyperpigmented lesions on human skin are reduced by applying a topical solution composition that includes a concentrated amount of resveratrol that has been extracted from red wine and is at a pH of between 2.5 and 5.5.

The present disclosure relates to a method for styling mammalian hair fibers, including providing body, straightening, relaxing, curling, or applying any other desired modification to the shape of the hair. The method comprises applying a hair styling composition comprising at least one hair-penetrating phenol-based monomer to the hair, allowing the monomers to penetrate within the hair and curing such monomers to internally form a polymer able to overcome the tendency of the hair to revert to its native shape. When curing is performed while the hair is in a desired modified shape, the resulting polymers may maintain the modified shape. Suitable compositions and kits allowing to prepare the same are also disclosed.

An emulsion composition and a method for preparing the emulsion composition are disclosed.
