Moisturizing or anti-atopic composition containing fatty acids or fatty acid derivatives
The present disclosure relates to a moisturizing or anti-atopic composition, including a fatty acid or a fatty acid derivative. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a moisturizing or anti-atopic composition including at least one compound selected from the group consisting of ethyl linoleate, α-linolenic acid, and monolinolein as an active ingredient. The composition for moisturizing or anti-atopic dermatitis, according to the present disclosure, has not only low cytotoxicity but also an anti-inflammatory effect, an increase in the amount of moisturizing factor production, an increase in the amount of skin bather strengthening factor production, and an active effect to inhibit the production of atopic factors, so it can be used in various fields such as beauty for improving skin condition, pharmaceuticals, and food.

Pramoxine compositions
The invention provides a topical o/w emulsion which moisturizes, and protects, repairs or restores the skin lipid barrier of a mammal. The topical o/w emulsion composition comprises: a) a discontinuous oil phase; b) a continuous aqueous phase comprising water; c) a thickening agent; d) at least one lamellar membrane structure comprising (i) a phospholipid, (ii) a fatty alcohol, and (iii) a fatty acid; e) a pharmaceutically acceptable active agent; and f) optionally a dermatologically acceptable excipient. In one embodiment, the composition, in use, has a water vapor transmission rate of less than or about 75 g.Math.m.sup.−2.Math.hr.sup.−1 measured in vitro using the modWVTR test methodology.

The present invention relates to cosmetic formulations with a high moisturizing power comprising, as active principle, ucuuba (Virola surinamensis) butter comprising myristic acid in high concentration, more particularly in a concentration equal to or greater than 70% of the constitution of said butter. Additionally, the invention relates to products comprising such cosmetic formulations, as well as to the use of ucuuba butter for the preparation of a differentiated cosmetic product with high skin moisturizing power, as will be demonstrated in the present patent application. The invention further discloses a cosmetic kit comprising the formulation disclosed with a suitable applicator and instructions for use.
