HYBRID COSMETIC PRODUCT CONSISTING OF CREAMY COMPACT POWDER
The invention relates to a cosmetic product in the form of a creamy compact powder containing a) 30-65% by weight, on the basis of the total weight of the product, of a powder phase; b) 35-70% by weight, on the basis of the total weight of the product, of a liquid binder phase consisting of one or more liquid binders. The products according to the invention have hybrid properties between compact powdered products and poured products.
ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A BENZOIC ACID ANALOG AND ACID PH BUFFERS
Various embodiments provide an antimicrobial composition comprising: a safe and effective amount of benzoic acid analog or analogs; a safe and effective amount of a buffer system of weak organic acids buffer with the negative log of the acid dissociation constant, pKa, between about 3.2 and 4.9; and a dermatologically acceptable carrier for the benzoic acid analogs and weak organic acid buffers, wherein the antimicrobial composition has a pH from about 3.2 to 4.9. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial composition comprises a safe and effective amount of an antimicrobial metal ion salt, a preferred salt being copper gluconate, at a level and pH that does not precipitate with the weak acid buffers.

METHODS FOR TREATING RELAXED HAIR
Methods and kits for treating hair or preventing damage in the relaxing of hair are disclosed herein. Hair that is damaged during a relaxing treatment with hydroxide-containing relaxing agents, can be treated with formulations containing one or more active agents. The active agent formulations can be applied simultaneously with the hair relaxing formulation, or optionally applied immediately following application of the relaxing formulation, to reduce damage and breakage. Use of the active agent formulation along with a relaxing treatment can be used to control the level of curl achieved or retained in the relaxed hair, as compared to the natural amount of curl in the untreated hair.
