The powdered compositions may include a polymeric powder and a solid amine or solid component having an amine moiety. Systems and kits including the powdered composition and a liquid composition comprising a cyanoacrylate monomer are also provided. A method for forming a cosmetic nail coating using a solid activator is also provided. The method may include a) applying a liquid composition to a nail to form a wet nail, the liquid composition comprising a cyanoacrylate monomer, and b) applying to the wet nail a powdered composition, the powdered composition comprising a polymeric powder and a solid amine activator or solid component having an amine moiety.

NAIL POLISH COMPOSITION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF APPLYING SAME
20200030206 · 2020-01-30 ·

A nail polish composition system includes (a) a base coat nail polish composition including organic solvents, film-forming compounds, plasticizers, and one or more additives; and (b) a top coat nail polish composition including a mixture of cyanoacrylates and a methacrylate. The base coat nail polish composition is applied to a fingernail to form a base coat film. Thereafter, the top coat nail polish composition is applied on or over the base coat film to form a top coat film. The nail polish composition system can significantly shorten the time required for drying the base and top coat nail polish compositions. In addition, the nail polish composition system may be applied without dipping the fingernail in powder glaze.

The invention also relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres such as the hair using the composition of the invention, and to a multi-compartment device for using the composition of the invention.

SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IN SITU POLYCHROMATIC MEASUREMENT OF OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF TOPICALLY APPLIED SUNSCREEN
20200018640 · 2020-01-16 ·

A system, apparatus and method of improved measurement of the SPF factor of sunscreen compositions. In one embodiment, a method of measuring the protection of a sunscreen composition includes exposing skin to a known intensity of light, measuring the amount of remitted light from the skin, applying sunscreen to the skin, exposing the skin to which the sunscreen has been applied the known intensity of emitted light of the spectrum of light from which the sunscreen is intended to protect the skin, measuring the amount of light remitted from the skin, and calculating a UltraViolet-A Protection Factor (UVA-PF) of the sunscreen by comparing the amount of light remitted from the skin with the sunscreen to the amount of light remitted from the skin without the sunscreen.

AUTO-OXIDIZING AEROSOL FOAM HAIR COLOR
20190388318 · 2019-12-26 · ·

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a foam-based oxidative dye product for use on human hair. Oxidative dyes usually have complex ingredients and require a developer to initiate oxidation. A hair dye product can be produced that does not require a developer to initiate oxidation, and instead oxidizes as it is introduced to air. As an example, the hair dye product can be stored in an aerosol container, where as it exits the container it turns to foam and oxidizes. This product may result in fuller dye coverage, more control of the resulting shade, less mess, and more satisfying results for consumers.
