The present disclosure relates to a modified pearlescent powder and a method of preparing the same. The modified pearlescent powder includes a pearlescent powder, a lauroyl lysine powder located on a surface of the pearlescent powder, and a fluorine-containing silane coupling agent connected to the pearlescent powder by covalent bonds. The present disclosure also relates to a cosmetic including the modified pearlescent powder.

A non-antimicrobial cleansing composition is disclosed comprising from about 10.0 wt. % to less than about 40 wt. % of one or more C.sub.1-C.sub.8 alcohols; about 0.5 wt. % to about 10.0 wt. % of at least one primary surfactant; 0 wt. % to about 10.0 wt. % of at least one secondary surfactant, with the primary and secondary surfactants having an HLB value greater than 8; a pH adjusting agent; and water. The present invention relates to a composition comprising: (a) at least one oil; (b) at least one polyglyceryl fatty acid ester having an HLB of 8 to 11; (c) at least one anionic surfactant; (d) at least one acrylic thickener; and (e) water, wherein the specific gravity of the (a) oil(s) at 25° C. is more than 0.95, preferably more than 0.96 and more preferably more than 0.97. The composition according to the present invention can achieve a low viscosity but is stable. Also, the composition according to the present invention can provide a good texture such as a smooth feeling to the touch after application.
